Re: World Cup contest?
Bwahahaha, I knew Holland could do it.
I went from second to last to second place
Now Germany needs to win against Argentina and I'll end at top. ^^

Re: World Cup contest?
Hey G1, LOSER SAYS WHUT?!
But no, seriously, that was a major upset. Brazil just hasn't been on top lately, while the Dutch have really been fighting all the way.
Now I'm kind of hoping for an Argentina - Ghana final, though I know I'll feel a tad bit conflicted if that happens. KF

Re: World Cup contest?
I think I'd hold off talking until Argentina actually wins it Kiz. You're likely to play Germany, then Spain, then the Dutch. That's 3 VERY hard games.
Oh, and Ghana has only themselves to blame. I actually applaud Suarez. That was completely different than diving to win a PK. He knew he was going to be sent off, and knew that if he didn't handball that, his team was out. Way to take one for your country.

Muller did not deserve that Yellow card. Sucks, 'cause he'll be out the next game if Germany can hold onto this thing.

True, but it feels so... cheap. It's like cheating by taking advantage of the rules to up your odds on something.GhaleonOne wrote:I think I'd hold off talking until Argentina actually wins it Kiz. You're likely to play Germany, then Spain, then the Dutch. That's 3 VERY hard games.

Re: World Cup contest?
lol, I was fixing to say that back to you, but you already did. Wow. Totally imploded. This World Cup will already make history now though. Brazil and Argentina were the only two teams that had won the World Cup outside of their own continent. Now someone else will. Before the Brazil game I actually was expecting Brazil v Argentina in the final. Now, I just hope it happens 4 years from now. Brazil v Argentina in Brazil will be the greatest final ever. Plus, they've never met in the final before.

I totally did not see both Brazil AND Argentina to be knocked out this World Cup.

Re: World Cup contest?
Wow, this Spain game is crazy too. As crazy as Ghana/Uruguay was. Paraguay was robbed on the offsides call, then Fabregas should have gotten a PK after Spain's first PK was saved. That might have been an even more insane 5 minutes of football than the Suarez red card/Ghana missed PK moment.

Yay. I have first place on the bracket predictor assured
I hope Germany kills Spain. I don't like Spain on this WC.

Re: World Cup contest?
I'm surprised at that result. Germany did not come to play. They gave Spain way too much respect. I see Spain beating the Dutch, but then, I haven't predicted jack squat right in this tournament so the Dutch will probably win. All my friends tell me I'm cursing teams because anyone I decide to follow seems to fall.

I actually want the Dutch to take this one. Guess we'll see Sunday.

I guess I'll take the trophy myself too
