Are you playing SSH on the PSP screen or the Television?

There is a Component Cable to plug into the PSP 2000 and 3000 models so you can play it on an HDTV, but your tv has to support progressive scan.

I'm not sure if the PSP Go also uses it, but here is a link if you're interested. There is also a Composite Cable but that will not allow you to play the PSP games on a television, only music, images and UMD movies apparently.

So it looks like everyone is playing it on the small screen...

I'd love to, but I only have a standard tv.

Played it on my 23" computer monitor. God I love Custom Firmware. :-D

How are you able to play it using Firmware? I wanted a PSP 2000 for this reason and the better screen (no interlacing issues), but is the 3000's screen actually supposed to be better?

It kinda automatically does it. And there's componeant and composite cables for it (meaning there are the yellow red white ones).

You plug the adapter into the PSP and when plugged up to the tv, it kinda automatically does it. on HDTVs there's a few borders around the window. I saw those when I hooked up the PSP to my TV in the living room and tried to play Crisis Core.

As far as 2000 vs 3000. If your planning to hack the PSP, so you can play roms and stuff (I own them all so I can safely say that you can have Four Editions of Lunar on a PSP at once, well, five if you count Saturn, but I don't have that.) You have to have a 2000 to do that. If your not planning to do that, a 3000 offers better battery life and a better screen. The 2000 isn't bad on either since I've played a ton on it so far. So really its what your going to do with it that matters. And there is very little difficulty in hacking it...

I'm playing it on my monitor, and I'm using the standard TV out PSP cables. It looks damn fine too!

Someone stated in a customer review that you can't play PSP games on the tv if you use a Composite Cable, but they have to be wrong because I know someone with a 3000 that was using a Composite Cable to play Dissidia on his standard tv.

I'd need a Component Cable though for my tv, but I'm not happy to hear of there being thick black bars on the side. I don't have audio/video connections on my PC so I wouldn't be ble to connect a PSP to my monitor.

I've done most of my playing on my commute or in bed, so haven't had a compelling reason to look into a big-screen solution. We're looking into it for when I play the NA version, though, so my sister can watch me play or vice versa.

You'll need a Component Cable if you plan to play on a HDTV, and it will obviously give you better quality. I provided the links on Amazon in the first post, and you'll want a Sony PSP brand cable. They're not overly expensive and the Amazon Marketplace Sellers have them cheaper.

Indeed, it was the link in your post that prompted me to mention it to my husband, who ordered it. It arrived today, so I should be able to see how it works tonight. ^_^

Haha, awesome. Let me know how it works out for you. I'm sure it will beat looking at it on the small screen but I'm not sure how the clarity will transfer. :)

Alun, have you had the chance to try playing this on your tv as of yet?

No, not yet. Probably tomorrow, as a friend is coming over specifically to see the game and that would be a reasonable time to try it out. :)

I'm playing on my computer monitor, which has Component jacks in the back :D

It looks great, and sounds even better as I've got the audio plugs stuck in a stereo.

How much of the monitor is filled out with the game? I hate you btw. I actually have really good Sony speakers connected to my computer and the game would sound awesome through them. Of course if they made PSP games playable through the PS3 it would sound even better through my surround sound.

Um... well its a 24" monitor, and I get like 4" on each side, with about 4.5" from the top and bottom. Its about 2.5 times bigger than the PSP screen, which is still really enjoyable imo. If I play it on my HD TV, its about the size of a 19" widescreen tv, which is also a nice size to enjoy the game in.

As for having the stereo, its a big plus, and I highly advise in playing your PSP through it. Go grab a Y cable (One end headphone jack, the other end is Red and White audio), so you can at least listen to the audio through a stereo. The music in the game is great, but I've noticed some of the characters were dubbed a little too loud (IE Dyne).
