Lunar on MySpace
There seems to be only three Lunar pages that I've found on MySpace, and they are all under the Music category. There is nothing there worth noting.
Perhaps we should design a Lunar-Net MySpace page to get more people interested in the series and also give them insight as to Lunar-Net. It seems as though most people have no clue there is a Lunar specific website here and I'm sure there are some fans that would be wow'ed by our vast knowledge and love of the series. After all, it is our hope that we open more and more people up to this fantastic series, right?
Let me know what you think.

While I've known 'of' lunar-net.com for awhile (back around the Hatless days if I'm not mistaken), I was totally unaware of the active forum community that exists here until a short time ago.
I know Myspace is filled with lots of grade school popularity contests, but at the same time I'm sure there are hundreds, if not thousands of anime/video game lovers out there.
With that said I support the creation of a Lunar Myspace page. I am also more than willing to help make the page if needed. My HTML is beyond rusty, but it's a simple language after all.

WD isn't really out of business, it's just sleeping. Yeah, that's it. Sleeping...

There have been groups in the past, but again, they are not easily found unless you go out of your way to search for them. The most popular group was the Lunar-L mailing list and it was not widely known. More people are likely to stumble upon a Lunar page on MySpace than search the net for a Lunar group.
As far as the maturity level of the viewers and interested parties, you'll have to deal with that in any forum or group environment.
I don't have any html skills yet, because the classes I've taken in college focus around more art design than coding. I'll have it eventually, but I think a collaborative effort would make for a better page.

MySpace is an outlet like anything else, and it can be used for good or evil. The most beneficial aspect of the site is the ability to network and introduce more and more people to yourself or your ideas, art, music, etc.
A Lunar-Net geared page on MySpace will bring a lot of new people (hopefully) to the site and if anything it will create more interest in a series that may not have a future without support. MySpace grabs people from all over the world so people in Japan, Asia, Italy, Australia, etc. could learn about Lunar-Net on a broader scale.
I can't do this myself, and it will take work to design a stellar page. Obviously, we're not creating a brand new full scale site like we have here, but we want a page that people are going to be interested in seeing which will steer them here as well.
I think that you're afraid of all of these immature posters showing up on the forums, but I'm sure it won't be as bad as you imagine. Besides, I'll f*ck them up if they get out of hand.

Hehe, I have that song on my computer It was a good song, despite the blatant ripoff, so I figured I would grab it before any lawsuit would make it unavailable.
Anyway, a Lunar-net backed lunar page on Myspace would be awesome.

Wait... wait... a porn star ripped off Lunar 2's opening theme? I think my brain just broke...
I myself am rather anti-myspace... but that's because I really dislike advertisements... Annoying things. But if people want to make said page I'm not against that, I probably won't end up there though.

I remember that song rip-off. Vic knew of it, but I think he said something along the lines of it being in GameArts field with doing anything about it, and I doubt they cared enough. Someone emailed the girl though, and she said she knew it was a ripoff, and got snippy about it with anyone that tried to tell her.
As for doing a Lunar MySpace site, I'd love to help, but I'm way too bogged down having started a new job. In fact, I can't even update LunarNET right now, and have 2 weeks worth of Email in the lunar-net.com address I have yet to check (I don't even plan to until I get high-speed back.

Here is the link. Please note that this page is filled with half-naked Asian women, so if you don't want to see that then at least you're warned.

Play the song titled "Just a Dream". I don't know if you need a MySpace account or not. I don't have any MP3 or anything.
It's sad how easy that was to find - She is on the second page of "Top Artists". Urgh.
Heh. Several people on the Lunar 2 GameFAQs board, myself included, messaged her on MySpace about it. She gave us all a duplicate message saying that she knew it was from a video game and had permission to use it. How true that is we never found out. The topic sort of died.
Not sarcasm. She was indeed in porn. While doing a search on her in an attempt to find credit being given, I was met with X-rated results. At the time of her MySpace first coming up, porn stars becoming singers was a bit of a fad, so I assumed she was just one of the few that "made it".

I wouldn't be so annoyed by her using the melody if it was actually in a good song. It's okay. But ah well... Wouldn't there be a credit of some sort on her CD/Album for the Lunar song though?
Madonna got sued for less not too long ago. But I guess it's a matter of whether or not Game Arts really cares. :\
Edit: I almost forgot to mention, Vic Ireland has an account... or at least someone with his name does.
