Re: Song of the moment

I should learn French. Though rap isn't for me, that was pretty interesting.

Here's another song by the same awesome artist from my previous post. From what I understand, this was a pretty big hit.

Re: Shenmue 3 Kickstarter

Castlevania and Metroidvania are quite different from one another, though. It's hard to compare them very much. I haven't played much of any Shining Force game because I'm bad at tactics style RPGs. From what I've seen, mimics can turn out fun and enjoyable but the soul is missing. That seems to be ...

Re: The Trans-Pacific Partnership Treaty

Not just that, but if people contest your ideas and views so frequently that you've become borderline hostile over it then you may want to examine some of them again.

Re: Are Lunar 1 and 2 (PS1) actually difficult RPGs?

These games came out in an age where the JRPG was king. The thing about the JRPG was there was a lot of grinding involved. I mean, tons and tons of it. Stuck in an area? Start grinding son. Can't beat a boss? Why weren't you grinding? The amount of time needed to spend on these games was almost ins...

Re: Shenmue 3 Kickstarter

Hate to say it, but I'm not sure Lunar has the fanbase for a third one to come out. And even if it does, it would probably take entirely too much money to get everyone involved in the others in the same room. Aren't a couple of the people dead as well? Then there's the issues of who has the rights ...

Re: Shenmue 3 Kickstarter

I'm not surprised to see this going so well. The following is enormous though I feel it's overrated. I never played the 2nd one but I anxiously awaited the first. I finally got it and the game treated the player like a tard and it felt incredibly linear. They built it up like it would be open. The m...

Re: Finally beat it.

"Them" - who? The first sentence strikes me as an inaccurate way to describe the process by which Titanic was made. James Cameron pitched his script as "Romeo and Juliet on the Titanic." The film started as a love story set on the Titanic, and it being a romantic epic was a succ...

Re: Finally beat it.

That's amazing since Titanic is just another example of them trying to make a historical movie, realizing most people find those boring and then focusing on a love story over the events. As for Dances With Wolves, I know a few people that it continued to be into it but everyone agrees that it didn't...

Imagine if people didn't go through that afterglow. The world wouldn't have made a big deal out of Dances With Wolves, Titanic or Cruel Intentions.

Re: Are Lunar 1 and 2 (PS1) actually difficult RPGs?

On PS1, It's mostly a matter of just NOT running from battles. If you pretty much never do that, you should be fine. Well except when you reach Zophar.. I worked my way back and forth to the Destiny so many times to STILL get crushed.. That bastard's difficulty was so intense that it sort of cheapen...

It passed 5 million and will now get an extra roguelike mode so the castle can be randomly generated. SWEET!

It was basically the early 90's Vita except the games for it weren't intended to help gamers achieve orgasm.

Tread carefully if you're going to play the originals with an emulator. Saves like to randomly disappear in Gens and Kega Fusion.

Of course you couldn't walk around with it for very long because it's the God damn Game Gear....the archenemy of the double A battery.

Re: Favorite Dialogue (By Category?)

Even though it falls under the "too obvious" category since it's so early on in the game, I remember getting a huge grin when I went up to the cow and Nall referenced the "Milk. It does the body good!" commercials. Also I know it doesn't technically qualify as dialogue, but some ...

Re: Finally beat it.

Given the harsh nature of the frontier and the hopeless attitude, I wouldn't be surprised if some chose to be in a cocoon to sleep away the remainder of their existence.
