Re: "Lunar Makes Its Way To iOS Devices Out West"

Hmm, I don't see how not trusting a no-name foreign developer, whose previous efforts are demonstratably unimpressive (see previous link), would be that unreasonable. If it were the original creators or some iteration of GameArts as it exists now, I think I'd be a little happier. Could I write them ...

Re: "Lunar Makes Its Way To iOS Devices Out West"

Just making my annual visit to bring an appropriate pall of despair to this announcement: "SoMoGa is responsible for the [sic] bringing the similarly fantastic old-school RPG Vay [$4.99] to the App Store, and we're expecting Lunar: Silver Star Touch to be of similar quality." Even a cursor...

Heheh. Ye gods, we'd all been blustering over this nonsense, and yet here Werefrog had the correct answer all along!

Re: Overly formal language is overly formal...

What's "forgotten" in the original lyrics are the wings. Let's ride on wings forgotten by the wind/ride on the wings that time forgot etc. It's worth noting that the direct translations WD put in their manuals for comparison's sake were never polished the way the in-game text was because.....

Re: Lunar 2 Eternal Blue Sega Saturn Gamerip

Just posting the new link since I've revamped my website. The music is still available as before, just in a different spot. http://synbios.net/site/?p=32 Hard to believe I first posted them almost five years ago. Time sure does fly. Great to see another of the Lunar Old Guard pop in, Parn! And brav...

Re: Unreleased BGM

The music that plays in (IIRC) the haunted mansion and the blue spire in EBC... is it on the soundtracks anywhere (US or otherwise?) Its one of my favorite peices and I recall it wasnt on the one with the game, but it might be. It's called "Beyond the Silence," and sadly, it's never been ...

Firstly, I'm gonna wing this one and say that this change may have something to do with the books in Damon's Spire.
Well, it was always called Madou Toshi Althena, Magic City Althena, in the original. No idea where they pulled Azure from, though.

Re: Game Arts Interview: Lunar 3 will "depend on the fans"

I'm saying right here and now that this'll be the last remake of TSS/SSS. I think if they try to pull another remake of it at this point, the market will be so saturated with remakes that it'll be completely unprofitable. Personally, I really see it sliding into Ys I&II territory, being rerelea...

Re: Compiling music and movie data

You can probably save yourself the effort by just looking at the ones for SSS that are already up (http://lunar-net.com/sssc/credits.php), since they're all the same, and adding the new five that Shiva helpfully put up.

Re: Unreleased BGM

The spooky version of "Beyond the Silence" (tense theme of sneaking on the Dragonship, etc.) isnt my thing, but yes, there's that other, GREAT remix of it hidden away and tragically unused. It's about ten seconds longer and has a really nice bridge that would play before it loops.

Re: Compiling music and movie data

The ones in bold look incomplete or unknown to me. Nope. I don't own a PSP so I can't look to try to figure out the final five mystery tracks (the last three of course simply being labled "New BGM 1-3," weird), but all of the other ones are correct. Let's go through this, shall we? 弔鐘: Mo...

Wait, aren't you the one doing the "research project?" You'll be looking for Shiva's famed Lunar Goods page from about ten years back (still awesome). It's the one mentioned in the thread I just linked to. Behold! Double-edit: Oh, and I'd forgotten until just now that Shiva's wonderful Lun...

Yeah, Alun, that was from Lunar Hope, when those kind folks answered a request to save me the excruciating pain of actually playing the EB remake yet again just to get the track list. Translation over here: http://lunarthreads.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=4289 And DevNall, I stand corrected, these H...

Re: Compiling music and movie data

Actually, the Harmony tracks have all been renamed. Again, though, if you're in the business of dealing with titles in Japanese, they're right there at the beginning of the game in the Ocarina...you don't have to slog your way through the bonus dungeon at the end of Eternal Blue remake or anything.

That would be right here. http://lunarthreads.com/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=4356
Or on Shiva's page, though the sub-tracks may not be on there. The Ocarina is available right from the start of SSS, so you should be able to read them off there.

Pshaw, it's in a thread about the last battle, so new folk'll know to stay out. Also, the statute of limitations for Eternal Blue spoilers has probably worn off after... 16 years . Aerith dies! And Kiz, I've always wanted to see someone crazy enough to win that Pentagulia fight...I don't even like t...

Heheheh, Kiz, you almost just made history by playing well enough to have a chance of winning an 'unwinnable battle.' I like to imagine you having Hiero fight Ghaleon in Pentagulia for two hours straight without dying while cursing at how cheap he is.

What Kiz said.

Also, for extra fun, our dear friends Merriam and Webster note that lunAR is actually an alternate pronounciation of "lunar" anyway. Not preferred, but hey, it's there.
