Song of the Moment version V

Postby Moonshadow » Sun Apr 24, 2005 12:57 am

Just getting a new one started here. One of the mods can add in the version when they get the chance, I wasn't too sure what the last one was.

Anyway I'll get it started with:

Endless Dark by HIM

Softly the light shines in through
The gates of grace on me and you
Deceiving our restless hearts
A
flickering flame so serene
Devours the night so we could see
The fear we hold on to so strong
But i know where i belong

Away from your gods
That heal all wounds and light this endless dark
Lonely the light shines on you
Through the gates of
fire entombed
Feeding on your love
Weak is the blaze that kept me away
From cruelty and tenderness embraced
Saving my
soul no more
And i know where i belong
Away from your gods
That heal all wounds and light this endless dark
That shine
on you and tame your burning heart
That bury my truth right into your arms
That worship the tomb of our forlorn love

No 9. - End Of The Century
Dance Dance Revolution 3rd Mix

End of the century Misery, can it be
choose who's the boss Suffer a great loss
Man woman child No longer exist
Only the good ones will be missed
Life love cherish it all
Who will be left to conquer
The end is coming Don't start running
There's nowhere to run Don't grab a gun
All over the land here this roar
No one knows what's in store
Look for star, he's on his way
No one knows what's in store
Love you self and all around
In a blink of an eyes
You won't hear a sound
Your heart is pounding at raided speed
Man will always feel the need for greed

Let's go for it
Now you can't miss
Al - Though - This - Was - The - Be - Gining
Beware because the end is here

The sky is falling
Eyes are balling
You had your chance
To make your stance
Love is a must life don't lust
No time to fuss People start to cuss
cry out who's going to care
Have no doubt have no fear
Believe in me I'll show you the way

Some people think the year 2G
is so scaring, lets wait and see
The world will shot down most won't admit
People go crazy people catch fits
Fire breaks out One way to stop
Play hiphop non stop stop
Remember these words And what I said
You just might wake up brain dead

The Feeling - is Amazing
(Ohh boy!) I want you (Come on and Get me!)

Some just say the world is changing
Many people will agree
Many changes we are seeing
I just say..
It's the end.. It's the end
It's the end of the century

Jesus, Etc. by Wilco

Jesus, don't cry
You can rely on me, honey
You can combine anything you want
I'll be around
You were right about the stars
Each one is a setting sun

Tall buildings shake
Voices escape singing sad sad songs
tuned to chords
Strung down your cheeks
Bitter melodies turning your orbit around

Don't cry
You can rely on me honey
You can come by any time you want
I'll be around
You were right about the stars
Each one is a setting sun

Tall buildings shake
Voices escape singing sad sad songs
tuned to chords
Strung down your cheeks
Bitter melodies turning your orbit around

Voices whine
Skyscrapers are scraping together
Your voice is smoking
Last cigarettes are all you can get
Turning your orbit around

Our love
Out of
Our love is all we have
Our love
Our love is all of God's money
Every one is a burning sun

Tall buildings shake
Voices escape singing sad sad songs
tuned to chords
Strung down your cheeks
Bitter melodies turning your orbit around

Voices whine
Skyscrapers are scraping together
Your voice is smoking
Last cigarettes are all you can get
Turning your orbit around

Last cigarettes are all you can get
Turning your orbit around

Last cigarettes are all you can get
Turning your orbit around

Blue Monday -- Orgy

How does it feel to treat me like you do
When you've laid your hands upon me
And told me who you are
I thought I was mistaken
I thought I heard your words
Tell me
How do I feel tell me now
How do I feel

How does it feel?
How should I feel?
Tell me how does it feel?
To treat me like you do

Those who came before me
Lived through their vocations
From the past until completion
They'll turn away no more
And I still find it so hard
To say what I need to say
But I'm quite sure that you'll tell me
Just how I should feel today

I see ship in the harbor
I can and shall obey
But if it wasn't for your misfortunes
I'd be a heavenly person today
And I thought I was mistaken
And I thought I heard you speak
Tell me now
How should I feel
Now I stand here waiting...
I thought I told you to leave me
While I walked down to the beach
Tell me how does it feel
when your heart grows cold

How does it feel?
How should I feel?
Tell me how does it feel?
To treat me like you do

"You and I" from Chess

Knowing I want you...
Knowing I love you...
I can't explain
Why I remain
Careless about you.

I've been a fool to allow
Dreams to become
Great expectations.
How can I love you so much
Yet make no move?

I pray the days and nights,
In their endless, weary procession
Soon overwhelm
My sad obsession.

You and I,
We've seen it all,
Chasing our heart's desire,
But we go on pretending
Stories like ours
Have happy endings.

You could not give me
More than you gave me...
Why should there be
Something in me
Still discontented?

I won't look back anymore,
And if I do,
Just for a moment.
I'll soon be happy to say,
"I knew her when..."

But if you hear today
I'm no longer quite so devoted
To this affair,
I've been misquoted.

You and I,
We've seen it all,
Chasing our heart's desire,
But we go on pretending
Stories like ours
Have happy endings.

This is an all too familiar scene:
Hopeless reflections on what might have been.
From all sides, the incessant
And burning question...
"Bearing in mind your predicament now...
What you did then...
We're just dying to know,
Would you do it all again?"

Each day we get through means one less mistake
There for the making...
But they know, full well,
It's not hard to tell--
Though my heart is breaking,
I'd give the world for that moment with you
When we thought we knew
That our love would last...
But the moment passed,
With no warning, far too fast.

You and I,
We've seen it all,
Chasing our heart's desire,
But we go on pretending
Stories like ours
Have happy endings.
"Let man's petty nations tear themselves apart; my land's only borders lie around my heart."

-Tim Rice, from the song "Anthem" in the musical Chess

To Sheila by The Smashing Pumpkins

Twilight fades
Through blistered avalon
The sky's cruel torch
On aching autobahn
Into the uncertain divine
We scream into the last divide

You make me real
You make me real
Strong as i feel
You make me real

Sheila rides on crashing nightingale
Intake eyes leave passing vapor trails
With blushing brilliance alive
Because it's time to arrive

You make me real
You make me real
Strong as i feel
You make me real

Lately I just can't seem to believe
Discard my friends to change the scenery
It meant the world to hold a bruising faith
But now it's just a matter of grace

A summer storm graces all of me
Highway warm sing silent poetry
I could bring you the light
And take you home into the night

You make me real
Lately I just can't seem to believe
You make me real
Discard my friends to change the scenery
Strong as i feel
It meant the world to hold a bruising faith
You make me real
But now it's just a matter of grace

Love's Requiem by HIM

Confusion writhes around our hearts impatiently
It drains the faith that lights the dark and sets us free
From the chains of our war and the pain we once called love
The poison of doubt enslaves our minds and we bleed
We abandon the trust that kept us blind and disappear
Under the crimson wings of hate where the lost are safe
Until they love again
The heart of darkness is hope of finding you there
And that hope will be our love's requiem
We pray to the serpent of delight desperately
The questions are answered and we try not to weep
Until we are sure we're suffering for love
In the dungeon of our dreams we're so weak
The promise made to be broken still haunts our sleep
We won't open our eyes afraid we would die for love again

The heart of darkness is hope of finding you there
And that hope will be our love's requiem
The salvation we seek will be waiting us there
In the heart of darkness lonely and scared
With a promise of death for our love
And now that we're free from the chains of our dark love
I'm lost
And now that we're free from the chains of our dark love
I'm lost
The heart of darkness is hope of finding you there
And that hope will be our love's requiem
Take me into your arms and sing me your beautiful song
Hold me until we're one and sing me you're beautiful song
The heart of darkness is hope of finding you there
And that hope will be our love's requiem
Take me into your arms and sing me your beautiful song
Hold me until we're one and sing me you're beautiful song...

"Back of Your Head" by Cat Power

Big monster
Big monster lover
A bigger pusher over
Stands alone in most walks of life
Walks alone in most walks in life

See you looking through me
Like you've unzipped the zipper
You hold the big picture so well
Can't you see that we're going to hell

Couldn't park that f*cking car
Couldn't part from you
Saw the back of your sweet mother's head
Now I know that she thinks I am dead

Burnt flavor you hold the big picture so well
Can't you see that we're going to hell

Big monster lover
A bigger pusher over
Stands alone in most walks of life
Walks alone in most walks in life

Collapse the Light Into Earth by Porcupine Tree

I won't shiver in the cold
I won't let the shadows take their toll
I won't cover my head in the dark
And I won't forget you when we part

Collapse the Light Into Earth

I won't heal given time
I won't try to change your mind
I won't feel better in the cold light of day
But I wouldn't stop you if you wanted to stay

Collapse the Light Into Earth

Bloodlust of the Human Condition by Unearth

we feel this hunger for horror
cold is the human heart, is the human mind
all born with sickness and impurity
bloodlust for the human condition
dark fears are wanted
spread it so these eyes can capture doom
thirst for destruction
will feed this firestorm until we´re gone
i can no longer close my eyes
this is our mortality
taken away is our hope
clip our wings, crush our dreams
this is a part of us all
clip our wings, crush our dreams
forever a part of us all
we feed on horror
sold is the human soul for crimes in nature
it´s our bloodlust condition
dark fears are wanted
spread it so these eyes can capture doom
thirst for destruction
will feed this firestorm until we´re gone
we feed on horror
we´re drawn into these open wounds
the crowds all gather to feed their bloodlust

"Let's Start A War" by A Perfect Circle

There's so many opposites,
So many opposites
So many, there's so many, there's so many

Let's have a war
So you can go and die!
Let's have a war!
We could all use the money!
Let's have a war!
We need the space!
Let's have a war!
Clean out this place!

It already started in the city!
Suburbia will be just as easy!

Let's have a war!
Jack up the Dow Jones!
Let's have a war!
It can start in New Jersey!
Let's have a war!
Blame it on the middle-class!
Let's have a war!
We're like rats in a cage!

It already started in the city!
Suburbia will be just as easy!

Let's have a war!
Sell the rights to the networks!
Let's have a war!
Let our wallets get fat like last time!
Let's have a war!
Give guns to the queers!
Let's have a war!
The enemy's within!

It already started in the city!
Suburbia will be just as easy!

I'm Sorry I'm Leaving by Saves the Day

Your middle finger was clutching my thumb through the park
and over macdougal.
The torches were blazing about our street and just down from the sky.
Casey stepped with Anna off the curb.
His shoes are clogs, did you see?
They dipped in that puddle, the one catching green.
They were tripping up and slipping around,
singing 'Rolalita come out tonight' and oh I wanted to pull you down.
roll on top of me, baby. just roll.
we'll wreck our clothes.
we'll scrape our knees.
we'll taste the scabs.
you, sweet, are worth these next four months
until I bail out and kiss behind your ears, drive off in the van.
oh my god, I think I'm dying in this car seat, where I'll spend through winter.

Dark Chest of Wonders by Nightwish.

Once I had a dream
And this is it

Once there was a child`s dream
One night the clock struck twelve
The window open wide
Once there was a child`s heart
The age I learned to fly
And took a step outside

Once I knew all the tales
It`s time to turn back time
Follow the pale moonlight
Once I wished for this night
Faith brought me here
It`s time to cut the rope and fly

Fly to a dream
Far across the sea
All the burdens gone
Open the chest once more
Dark chest of wonders
Seen through the eyes
Of the one with pure heart
Once so long ago

The one in the Big Blue is what the world stole from me
This night will bring him back to me

Fly to a dream...

Heart of Steel by Manowar

Build a fire a thousand miles away to light my long way home
I ride a comet
My trail is long to stay
Silence is a heavy stone...
I fight the world and take all they can give
There are times my heart hangs low
Born to walk against the wind
Born to hear my name
No matter where I stand I'm alone

Stand and fight
Live by your heart
Always one more try
I'm not afraid to die
Stand and fight
say what you feel
Born with a heart of steel

Burn the bridge behind you
Leave no retreat
There's only one way home
Those who laugh and crowd the path
And cut each other's throats
Will fall like melting snow
They'll watch us rise with fire in our eyes
They'll bow their heads
Their hearts will hang low
Then we'll laugh and they will kneel
And know this heart of steel was
Too hard to break
Too hard to hold

Stand and fight
Live by your heart
Always one more try
I'm not afraid to die
Stand and fight
Say what you feel
born with a heart of steel
