... I'm a necromancer.

The bay vs bae choice was always intended and it was obvious. I knew it was coming and I wasn't happy. See, this choice is kind of problematic. Max before time powers is known as a shut in and a wallflower who doesn't really rattle the cage. Once Max gets her time powers she becomes more outgoing, she takes more risks, she has agency. Every choice that she makes is her becoming a more engaged and involved participant in the world instead of just a passive observer. To choose to deny that growth and negate those choices is rejecting and shutting down on Max's very crucial growth. It's basically saying, "Don't get uppity woman, get back in the kitchen."  Bay Max most assuredly shuts back down again at least a little, especially since she understands her risk taking cost her her friend/girlfriend. Whereas Bae Max accepts her choices, owns up, and embraces the active life. She keeps her change and her friend/girlfriend.

I also don't wanna get into the  goddamn sacrificial lesbian shtick. Mad.

If I were Max I would have Groundhog Dayed that -Dragon Diamond- for eternity until I found the perfect way to  get everyone into their basements then chose bae and flicked off the storm as it wrecked the city but didn't kill -Dragon Diamond-.

In closing,
Game good.
Warren kissers are trash.

Since the topic has been revived, I wanna ask: how hard is it for you guys to find physical copies of this game? I have been looking high and low and I haven't found any. That's driving me nuts!

I was able to find things like the Collector's Edition (https://store.na.square-enix.com/produc ... n-xbox-one), but the last time I looked into maybe getting one it was completely sold out. Jenner and I both just bought the whole thing on Steam.

The collector's edition looks sweet (though there isn't one for PC, last I checked; just the consoles). At the moment I can't bring myself to try and get it again for a game I already own, but maybe... KF

Thanks for the link :)

That does suck for us console players, though.

Great for Dontnod that it's foreverally sold out though.

I'm not sure I understand that.

That was a bit too memey, my apologies. Sometimes I forget how deeply Internet I am. (here's the meme I'm referencing, might be NSFW)

What I meant was, it's good for the creators that the game keeps selling out because profitability is encouragement.

But upon reflection, if they're only selling out because they have limited numbers or something... not so good.

I'm sure it was my more optimistic interpretation!

Thanks for the explanation :)

I'm glad the game's doing great, it truly deserves it. But I would like to have a go at it too :P

Guys, guys, guys, guys...

Dontnod have officially announced two new games.
(1) A prequel, "Life Is Strange: Before the Storm" -- in development now and the first episode of three will be out August 31st of this year!
(2) A sequel "season two" -- yeah after rumors every other month, this has been confirmed by Dontnod

For "Life Is Strange: Before the Storm", it's written by some of the same people behind the first game, but it'll be developed by another studio (Deck Nine Games). The trailer and gameplay demo was just announced at E3:

The prequel is going to be from Chloe's point-of-view and is about 3 years before the events at Arcadia Bay. (There's also "one last scenario" where you can play as Max if you purchase the full version.) KF

Nice! I still have to get my hands on the first game, though... but this is really exciting!

Before the Storm is out now, right? Being in the future for two weeks has messed with me.

Just found this topic. Haven't played the prequel yet.

Warren made me really uncomfortable. I've been irl tangled up with boys like that when I was younger, dumber and too chicken to set boundaries. Ugh. I ditched Warren a lot. But not every time, like I needed to remind myself of all that past stress.
