Final Fantasy Versus XIII

I hear it has been cancelled. I think it's still a rumor, but it's very likely because this has been in development since 2006.

My personal opinion about it being cancelled:
Great! Just awesome! This makes me happy!
But honestly, I'm very surprised too. Besides the fact that it's been 6 years... Final Fantasy games never get cancelled, especially the boring ones. I only ever heard about good games getting cancelled. Is it possible that Versus XIII was going to be a good game?? No... I dont think so.

What's your opinion?

It's kind of hard to say, i usually just have a feeling that I'm going to like a game, every game I've bought and played I've never really been disappointed in. Just everything seems interesting to me, and i want to know more. So far the characters seem interesting enough from the little bits we seen of them so far. I'm really curious to see the more realistic world with the Fantasy elements. Usually i like a lot of Fantasy, the more the better, but i think they would do a good balance with this. I like the prince, with the last crystal setting. I want to see how it plays out and what happens, and to explore this fantasy in reality world.

S-E's woes trouble me. It seems like just desserts for being out of touch with the market, of course. But what will get them back in the game?
