Need some help

My buddy wants to sell me his .Hack and .Hack G.U. series. Both have all parts of the series and are in good condition, but I'm not sure if it's worth it. I've heard the games were either really good or really bad. Help?

I can't speak for .Hack G.U., since I've never played G.U, but .Hack was good. The only thing about it is that it's pretty repetitive. You're basically doing the same battles over and over again throughout all 4 games...or at least the first 3 that I know of. I finally gave up at the 3rd one because I couldn't take the boring, repetitive battles anymore. The story and characters is what kept me going for that long.

Overall, if your getting the games cheap, I think it's worth it. It's a fun game, I just got really bored with it.

I don't really have anything to say that DF didn't already. It's fun, but a bit repetitive. I gave up halfway through the 3rd game.

I know somebody who loved GU though.

Good story driven game with a good concept that falls on it's face at the starting line. That's .hack. As far as G.U. is concerned I have no idea, though I'd imagine more of the same.

Yeah, I LOVED the .hack//sign anime but the games were pretty addictive. I got through part 1 but lost my second one somewhere... I still have 3 and 4 sitting around, so Ill get to them eventually. Really good time wasters but make sure you have pencil and paper to keep track of equiptment for your allies.
