You said HD remake, so I was assuming that you meant some sort of enhancement. But really, the only thing I could see it showing up on is 3DS.

I'm enjoying Devil May Cry 5, but Nero's new haircut and Dante's old man look have yet to grow on me.

Just beat Myst and Tales of Phantasia. Loved them both. 2nd time I've beaten Myst.

Tonight I start Lunar: TSS. The last time I played it was in 2005..

Sega CD.

From what I understand,

Lunar: TSS (The Silver Star) = Sega CD
Lunar: SSSC (Silver Star Story Complete) = PSX

The Sega CD version holds more nostalgia for me, though I admit the remake is the better game, minus the pleasant tone replacing the darker mood of the original.

I'm playing Omega Labyrinth Z. The Asian market price drop version hit markets in Feb & I wanted to see why PQube's English translation was shot down. Now having been a few hours into the game I clearly see why, although honestly it took me no more than thirty minutes to start cringing.

I've only ever played SSSC but I would like to own the Sega CD version some day.

I've been playing a couple of old games on Switch.

Darksiders: Warmastered Edition - I can't believe I've ignored this series for as long as I have. I've looked at it before and thought I would enjoy it as it's basically a mix of Zelda and Prince of Persia (also reminds me of Legacy of Kain fairy often) but I never knew I would get into it as much as I am right now. I seriously like this game and the Switch port seems pretty solid.

Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD - I played this game 3 or 4 times back on the PS2. I picked up the PS3 HD release but sadly never got around to touching it. The Switch version caught my attention, however. Being able to play this hybrid was too tempting. There's also the fact that I love the Pro Controller. Going from the PS2 version to this is a shocking difference. From what I've seen, it looks pretty much identical to the PS4 version. It's a shame they didn't make use of the HD rumble or add anything other than touchscreen healing between battles, but it's fine.

Replaying SSH for the first time since it came out. Had totally forgotten that there's an added scene of Luna and Ghaleon talking about music, just after meeting Ghaleon for the first time.

I'm over halfway through Xenogears. This is a replay of a game I haven't touched much in 15 years. I've forgotten enough that I don't remember most of the plot details, but remember enough that I can see most of the foreshadowing. The combat is a lot easier than I remember it.

I have also started the Phoenix Wright trilogy for the Switch. It's another replay, at least of the first game. (I played part of the second game and none of the third.)

I'm not sure I'm on a replay kick. It may be the influence of playing FFIX for the first time for the Switch, loving it, and feeling an urge to go back to Xenogears. It may be the many high quality ports coming out lately. It may be the relative dearth of RPGs I'm interested in, at least until the new Fire Emblem entry or Shenmue 3 come out.

Lol, I gave up on Suikoden III. I know it's been a while since I posted. I've mostly been exercising and dieting so whenever I have freetime it's mostly watching DVDs. I got my uncle to fix my broken Breath of Fire II cart, the battery died and I couldn't save, so I've mostly been playing that. I'm about to go to Windia for the first time. I just haven't been in a good mood lately, mostly because I'm usually tired and sore. But, I'm trying to make time for RPGs.

Finally getting around to playing Life Is Strange: Before the Storm

It's actually quite good! Slightly different feel from the original, but so far am enjoying the story and characterization, and it's really getting to me. KF

Back to Valkyria Chronicles 2. Needed something I could play in small chunks without too much external note-taking and such while I had a very intense crunch week at work. Hoping to get back to Lunar 1 this weekend...
