I did, and I have since replayed it many times to attempt the different character senarios (since there's only one real ending). I did find the storyline rather predictable at times, but nevertheless I enjoied it. I liked the battle system as it reminded me of Star Ocean: The Second Story (another RPG I'm fond of) and the little dialog "cut scenes" were cute as well. The only thing I could have asked for was more animated cut scenes... but I believe I've said that before. ^^*

I touched upon my views of the ToS game in another thread...
That's pretty much it. I really didn't enjoy it that much. It was a cute story, but a bit overdone and I felt that it just kept dragging on and on. >_<
The only thing I did like about the game was Zelos. <3 He's the only reason why I kept playing it. That and the fact that there were a few of my favorite voice actors in that game. (Brianne Siddall, Colleen O'Shaughnessey, James Arnold Taylor, Cam Clarke)
LuNaRtIc wrote:The fact that Tales of Symphonia reminded me of a lot of other RPGs is why I hated it so much. It seems as though they took an idea from every great RPG, threw them all together and melted it into one horrible cliche RPG. I found it boring as all get out too. And maybe Lunar spoiled me, but I expected more than two animated cutscenes from ToS.
I'm just really disappointed in that game. Kinda regret that I spent money on it. >_>;

I'm glad you liked it also, if you ever want to unlock any costumes for the charaters, talk to me! I know how to get all of them (My fav is Colette's maid outfit! it's girly, but cute!) and, i agree, ToS Needed more anime cut scenes!
I've seen one on youtube that was going to be in ToS, but they took it out...
Also, are you a nashxmia fan? I am too! ^_^

Best character ever! I remember playing through and being bored with the "pre-Zelos" portion of the game, once he was in my party all was well.

Actually I ended up getting them all too! I do like Rain's formal, she looks really pretty. ^^ I also like anything to do with Zelos, particuarly his formal attire... he is yummy. =P
Am I a Nash/Mia fan?? *laughs* but of course I am! They are my two favorite characters of the Lunar series, and I think the pairing is just adorable!

I loved Tales of Symphonia. It's what got me into the Tales series. I only have that one, and Phantasia (PS1 and GBA) and Eternia for the PS1. But the game was so much fun. I thought it was worth it to get the PS2 version.
I really liked the story, because it was like a mix of other things I enjoyed from other games in the past. It had kind of a Secret of Mana feeling to it, at least for me, what with the Mana tree and all that such stuff. I really love the characters, too. I think the only character I didn't enjoy as much as I could have, would be Colette. And I just didn't enjoy Regal at all. Everyone else was awesome. I loved the music, too. I've always liked Motoi Sakuraba's work.
It may have been rather generic, but it was an enjoyable generic.

I have basicly say same as LuNaRtIc
I think big problem is doesnt show off well to Hard core RPG fans due to we all see it all before at this time ever thing in TofS has been used in 100 other RPG storys
It really feels to me doesnt even try do its own thing with story
I just couldnt get it to it
I play few hrs sometimes then put it away until I want move on abit more in it
