Who is your least favorite character and why?

Please note that Nall has been split into two Nalls. One from Lunar and the other from Lunar 2. The same has been done with Ghaleon.

I did not include Lunar: Dragon Song's characters because they are so much weaker in comparison to Lunar 1 and Lunar 2's characters that I felt people would automatically vote for Lunar: DS's cast. But feel free to comment on who you hated in DS in addition to whoever you chose in the poll.

I was teetering on Lunn/Borgan/Star Dragon

I don't like Lunn because he doesn't seem all that threatening. Although stealing Dragon Kids is pretty evil. Overall he doesn't seem to be a threat to the Lunar 2 world. I would have enjoyed seeing him kill some sprites or send ninja's to assassinate someone. But that really isn't a weakness so I didn't vote for him.

I don't like Borgan because he did everything seemingly to get laid. Never mind the game kinda overlooks the fact that he enslaved all these people who were mining that mineral to power Neo-Vane. Turns out the cast of characters think he's just a big ol' sweet heart. That always bothered me. But Lemia's persistent hate of him kept me from voting for him.

The Star Dragon pisses me off because he is a 5th Dragon in addition to the four who guard Althena. This one seems to not really care that Althena almost got killed numerous times. I hate how he presents problems for Lunar TSS and Lunar SSSC and Lunar HSS, and even Lunar DS. So he gets my vote for messing up the time line, (possibly). He's vague enough to exist and not cause any time line problems...

And finally my least favorite character in DS was Jian...what a weird kid. Not quite Dragonmaster not quite hero yet all child.

Perhaps you should make the poll allow, say, up to three options, then. I'm sure you won't be the only person who has difficulty narrowing it down to one.

Well that's part of the fun I guess. Deciding who you didn't like more then any other character and why. That's what I want to know.

Then...why was your post about 3 characters?

Lunn, for lack of poetic justice. Also for being uninteresting.

It's not exactly that I HATE Lucia, but I don't care for her either. There's just something about her I find annoying. I'm not entirely sure what it is though.

Lunn.

He was beyond redemption. I don't buy the whole "oh I was just drunk on power" bit--well, I do, but that doesn't excuse anything he did remotely. He could just as easily get drunk on power again, and this little atonement at the end doesn't mean a thing compared to all the lives he's ruined up until that point.

Borgan comes a close second. He also was beyond redemption, but his actions stemmed more from systemic discrimination against him (for his lack of magic ability) and taking it out on the rest of the little fiefdom he had set up in response. Lunn, meanwhile, just craved power for its own end.

I like to think that the only reason Jean "moved on" was because her love for the rest of the world was stronger than her hatred for Lunn, and she had to move on to save Lunar. If it weren't for that, well, I'd have no remorse about killing Lunn later on (not after the fight, though; it sets a bad precedent). KF

I really don't like Royce. She's just kind of flat. In the first scene you see her, she's mysterious with a slight malicious edge. Then she's more mysterious when you see her at the magic guild. Then it turns out she's evil, which is a fairly predictable move. (I was surprised by Ghaleon's betrayal, and Phacia's, the first time. Not Royce's.) And after that, she does bad things. That's it. There's no sense of reason or purpose, as you get from both Phacia and Xenobia. Maybe a sheer pleasure in being evil. But that's just as annoying as a hero that acts only out of the sheer pleasure of doing good.

I voted Royce. Booooooring!

She's still cooler than Cloud Strife, though.

Anyway, I guess I'm going with Borgan. Although I agree that Royce was a boring character.

How about that voice? I'd like her better if her VA's performance grated on me less... Glad as I am that WD recast Hiro in the remake, I think Lucia needed it more.

On another note, I'm surprised by the Borgan hate. Tinpot despot, yeah yeah... he's funny!

I voted for Borgan because not only was he annoying he also seemed weak minded to me. I always thought Lunn had some mental issues so I am more forgiving to him. Borgan just pisses me off.
