Bravo 29 wrote:Now that was an intense episode. Winddale practically got demolished, the group found out the truth about Astaroth, as well as Amon. And then were nearly ended there and then, gotta love plot battles. And kudos to Alek for actually surviving an encounter with the Vile Tribe. He didn't get fossilized like Mel did. ^^;; And how, he's personally escorting the group to Vane. How sweet is that.

As I watched the episode, I found two flaws. The first was the actual assault. Yes, there were plenty of dead bodies, but the buildings were all intact, as was the landscape; well, except for the corpses, mind you. If there wasn't means to alter the sprites to show massive structural damage, I can understand. I know you're doing the best you can, so I can't really complain.

The second, I sounded pretty bad. What am I doing wrong? Everyone else sounded so crystal clear. And I thought I'd made such progress since the LUNAR fandub way back. :( Any suggestions would be welcome.

And I can't wait for the trailer to come out. Good luck to both of you.
Sprite editing isn't an easy thing to do. I tried adding in fire effects into flash (ones that I made in flash) but it looked pretty bad lol, so I had to go without it.

Hmm... Maybe it has something to do with the microphone you are using, or maybe the program. What program are you using? It could also be that your microphone might be slightly faulty, resulting in that sound that comes through in your lines.

Thanks, once the trailer has been shown at Otakon I will post it up on my DA profile so people can see it again/for the first time.

Bravo,

Thanks for commenting! ^^ In regards to your lines, it probably has to do with the program you're using. My husband and I use good old sound recorder set on CD quality and we keep redoing the lines until there are no bg sounds or us breathing into the mic... it was hilarious because almost every time he recorded he'd breathe into it xD Not that you breathed into, I'm just sayin :)

So, has anyone else gotten a chance to take a peek at the episode? I'm really anxious to hear what everyone has to say :D

Take care now! ^^

Thanks. :)

Anyway folks I do have one update. I've added a recruitment board which is where we will post something when we need to add a new person to the project. You can find that at the first post in this topic. So take a look if you are interested in joining.

Calling All Composers!

Post by PrettyGirlJean »

Thank you very much MaroonChan!

Well everyone as Zophar and I have announced we are currently working on a teaser/summary trailer for the series. As of today we will be actively seeking a music composer. We would prefer this person to be a Lunar fan so we are starting our announcement here but I will also be promoting this on DeviantArt and getting word-of-mouth started. If you know someone that may be interested that is great too, they are more than welcome to contact us!

Of course please be prepared to offer examples of your music, while experience is a plus it's definitely not required. Being able to work at a fast pace and under a deadline is a BIG plus. We will make our decisions based soley on the quality however. For now we are mainly looking for non-vocal music, but after the trailer we would definitely like to have more music composed for cutscenes, the opening and ending theme (as we are also planning on creating an official opening and ending animation), basically everything ^_^

An added bonus is that if everything is all set and good to go with the Lunar panel at Otakon, your music will be heard by hundreds of people. You will have your name in the credits of course and we always offer voice roles to people particpating and donating time and resources for the project.

For more information and/or to send us a submission, please email (Paul) Zophar: ganon121@comcast.net You can also send submissions to me (Danni) PrettyGirlJean: vanstane@gmail.com

In your email, please tell us your real name and your online alias (if applicable), and if you do not have a sample to attach, but instead have it hosted on the net, please include the site/URL. Please also include your age/date of birth if you are under 18 years old.

Thanks again to everyone for their time, patience, and feedback for our project. Take care now!

(This post has also been added to the first page so please feel free to refer to that one as well ^_^b)

I am not sure, though I'm suspecting that you don't agree with our decision ^^; However, one thing I'm worried about is Otakon refusing to allow us to show the trailer due to unapproved copyrighted game music. I hope it won't be a problem... but they do have to get permission for music in the fanmade music videos. Maybe there are guidelines I'm unaware of though.

At any rate, if indeed you are objecting to the idea of taking on a composer, I'm not sure why ^^;

You're right, that occurred to me AFTER I posted. :p Just checked my program, and it was set on Radio Quality. I'll definitely try CD quality next time to see if that helps. Thanks for the input, as well as everything you do. :D

I don't think it'll be a problem at the panel.

Hi all ^^

Anyone else check out the episode by chance? Seems relatively quiet ;p

Just a quick update, the script for episode 7 has been completed but we will probably not contact VAs about their lines until after Otakon. Of course the reason for this is the trailer. A really nice song has been chosen and sprite ripping and storyboarding are being worked on. It hasn't been decided definitely just yet if we'll need voice over/narration for it, but if we do you'll be hearing from me again ^^

Despite choosing a song, we are still looking for a music composer for the series, so again, please send us a line if you or someone you know may be interested. We may also be having a set up (at least at my art table) at Noh Con early next year. Perhaps I'll see about arranging a Lunar Panel there, especially if anyone is interested in participating (PM me if you please ^^)

That's all from me for now, take care everyone! ^_^b

Oh, it was an excellent episode! I have to say, between the art, the plot, and the "animation," it steadily gets better and better.

And I'm so looking forward to the trailer for Otakon. :)

Just saw the trailer for the first time. I actually thought it was pretty good. The music stopped halfway through, but maybe that couldn't be helped. If that's how it was supposed to be, okay.

Anyway, that was eye-opening. And from what I can gather, no one will be spared any hardships, not even Astaroth. I actually like that, I hate characters who get what they want without any sort of struggle, like Harry Potter in the first movie. Hated him, because he never suffered any hardships. Won't happen in TES, I can tell. About time we see how villains deal with hardships. Keep up the great work, and I'm eagerly awaiting Episode VII. Until then.....

The music stopped halfway through?! Man, I knew that at times the music would lag behind but I didn't think it would do that.

Oh yea, all the characters will have to face some tough times (AKA Hardships). Especially the villains. Anywho, thanks for comenting! :)

Work on Episode VII shall continue shortly, first Danni and I have to organize what needs to be worked on and stuff.

To pick up where Zophar left off...

Okay VAs, time to regroup! ^_^b The episode 7 script is complete as of last night so I will be emailing you today (tomorrow at latest) with that. There will be quite a bit of voice acting in this episode so we want to get started ASAP with that. We'd like to have this episode completed around the end of August ^^

Also, I'd still very much like to try for a live voice chat so that we can all go over the script at least once or twice and get a good feel for how our lines should sound. I mentioned teamspeak in the past, but my husband suggested the program called Ventrilo as the sound quality is better.

As far as art goes, I'll be working on Lamia's portraits as well as a few others and of course the cutscene which will probably be the longest and most involved thus far! ^^

NEXT TES MEETING: Saturday, August 4th 8:00pm EST
If anyone can't make it that's okay, but please try to let us know at least a day in advance. Then we can work something out :) I'll probably get an agenda sent out to you guys tomorrow. Yay!

No problem, I'll talk to Zophar, I'm sure it'll be cool to have it earlier in the day. If that day doesn't work for anyone we'll figure somethin' out :) Thanks for replying so quickly! ^^

I don't see why not. Maybe around 1:00 or 2:00 PM maybe? Well that's my two cents for now.

Oh by the way Danni, to be pollitically correct I finished the Episode 7 script before Otakon. But I had been focusing more on the trailer instead of sending out the script to the VA's at the time. Don't hate me cause i'm obsessed about minor details. :P

Around 1 or 2 PM? That's fine for me, too, as I work at 5 until 1 or so. However, my computer can't support anything like Teamspeak or Ventrilo, it's antiquated. The best I can do right now is still AIM. :(

Well, that's the only real problem I have with the meeting. Aside from that, I can be good to go. Nice to finally join a TES Chat Meeting. It should be lots of fun. Until then....

You still need a music composer Zophar? It was my major in college. Would be fun to help.
