YouTube is severely lacking in the performed Lunar music department. These are beautiful and I hope you do as many Lunar pieces as you can. Are you playing all of this by ear?

No, I'm still a beginner so I can't really play without sheets xD

It's still awesome. We need as much Lunar music played on as many different instruments as possible.

Very very nice {^^}. I'm a little rusty with piano since I don't have one at home anymore, but, one day insha'Allah if me and Jenner get a house, an upright piano is going to be one of my first purchases.

Two comments/questions:
(1) From where are you getting the sheet music? I've always had trouble finding any official sheet music, and most of what I've seen others' transcribe has been incomplete. (I can figure out melodies by year, but not chords, so sheet music is still essential for me to learn an actual song.)
(2) Where do you place the mic? I've always wondered how to record acoustic piano with minimal ambient noise (especially cheaply...). Admittedly, there is some distortion here as if the damper pedal's being held down too long -- the distortion's of course gone in the Lucia's Theme one since that's electric, but it's there in varying degrees in the others.

I don't want to discourage you; I'm just curious about some of the details. KF

(1) I just use Google like everyone else. It's really hard to find good sheet music but it's there somewhere on the internet.
(2) Well, I used to place the mic on a wooden platform mounted on the wall back when I lived with my parents. The trick with having minimal ambient noise is just by playing reeeeeeaaaaaaally loudly :D Oh by the way, the distortion has nothing to do with the angle.

We have three. Want one?

(Okay, that's probably a bit general. We have my great-grandmother's upright, a baby grand bought last year, and a high-quality electric piano. That last one is the redundant one, although it's surely been played more in recent years than the decades-old upright, which we have for nostalgia rather than anything else. Shipping could be a bit of a pain, admittedly; I don't think it'll fit in the box I am almost ready to send you.)

Spouse got some recording equipment for his piano so he may someday be able to put some stuff up. Some year maybe I'll be able to get the harp I've always wanted and do some things that way, though I'm really not a very good harpist. Talk about rusty: I last played a pedal harp around 1998.
