Self-Portrait 2014

Post by Nobiyuki77 »

I decided to paint a self-portrait. Haven't done one since last year.

YouTube video is live here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SujfJyOZIVM

That drawing is solid!
It is both cartoonish and realistic. Really good job on the shading and colors you picked!

Thanks! :D I'm happy with how it came out for a speed paint! ^_^

It's been a while since I've seen a photo of you but yep, that looks like you. :) The facial hair basically works with your face.

Not sure about your left lower eyelid, though...? At least, I think it's your eyelid rather than your eyeball, but it's so light it's hard to tell.

Do you want more detailed feedback? I dunno how useful that is for a speed piece.

Even if I don't go back to the piece to spruce it up I'm always open to feedback. I want to get better.
