Wow.
I can't really do this one justice right now. The effect of the mascara running... does she have a black eye? It looks like a crescent, and I might be confusing her hair for that.
The butterfly... its color matches one of her eyes. Is it like she's looking at it and seeing herself? Or, what she was? And the defect is the wear all over her, doubly represented by the crackly texture?

Yes she was crying (Mascara is the appropriate spelling). My mother also thought it was a little bit creepy, but that was the point. I wanted a human to look dead and to show that she was being reborn into the tiny little butterfly. It's a Buddhist beleif that when you die you are reincarnated. Hindu's slightly believe in it too.

Well, I would have never gotten the reborn part of it, but w00t! I got the crying part all by my lonesome self! *cheers* (not that it was that hard, but let me have my monent!)
The picture makes more sense to me now though, since you explained what the picture is supposed to be. Though, it doesn't take the creepy affect away

Well, I can't really find a meaning for myself over it. Aside for it being creepy, but that doesn't count of course. Of course, I suppose that one could take it that the girl is being abused, that's why she was crying, and the picture is cracked because her life is shattered, and her only friend is a butterfly....
