Didn't even notice the sparkly one when the picture was being taken. The viewing angle in that helmet is very, very limited. It's Virtual Boy vision, honestly.

Yes, I will be at Sakura Con this year, complete with revised battle skirt. In fact, it is my hope to organize a Lunar cosplay group. This year seems to be the most fertile opportunity since EBC was released.

 Whoa! Rockin' Magic Emperor! That looks fantastic.

It's been a while, but I've done some contemplation about Hiro and I want to try using Sateen fabric for his tunic (not the stretch kind). Since it doens't seem to be broadcloth, I think I'll go the sateen route (now to find it in the right color since I can't find it in that shade of blue at joanns).

Thank you, Clear Note. Best of luck with your Hiro cosplay. Fabric is not my strong suit, I just wish you the best in your endeavors. Anyone willing to put forth the effort to do a Lunar cosplay deserves recognition.

Went to Ohayocon this past weekend. Last year we had a huge Lunar group. Apparently there was to be another Lunar photoshoot this year, but I missed out!

Anyway, I still caught these two walking around, I didn't see them last year:

And funny enough, that's a girl cosplaying Alex, and a boy cosplaying Luna. They were great people, a lot of fun to talk to!

That Magic Emperor getup does look pretty cool. Until now, I never realized how much he resembles Darth Vader.

Those Ohayocon pictures are great. I wonder how long it took to make that Nall.

Old_School, funny you mention Vader... The Magic Emperor cape was actually a modified Darth Vader cape. We had to shorten it because Vader is about a foot and a half taller than I am. Remove the Magic Emperor pauldrons and you will be able to see the leather inlay around the neck.

There are some awesome cosplayers in this thread. I've done a bit in the past (I hope the diet I'm on will work for me this year):

I really want to cosplay Epilogue Leo, but I've never found good enough pics or a good time to do so. I usually only pull off one cosplay per convention, doing schoolgirl alternate Rei Ayanami at Anime Matsuri 2010 (I wanted to do Hope from FFXIII but I dont have time). I attend Oni-Con (both of these are in Houston, TX) almost every year (Missed year 1 because I didnt know what cosplaying was and year 4 (?) whichever one Ike interrupted). I think my favorite cosplay was my Star Ocean 2 Opera Vectra ~sprite version~. ^o^

If anyones in the area during either of those cons maybe we can hang out. XD

This is the Video Games Live pic I promised. I wasn't able to find a balaclava that night so my neck is visible. Sorry about that. When the costume was designed we added more soft sections to make it more breathable, otherwise it would have been like living in an asphyxiating statue for the person in the costume. The person in the Magic Guild Premier outfit is my younger brother. His face fits Ghaleon more than mine does. If only he had platinum hair...

In any case, it was cool meeting Tommy Tallarico, Gabe Newell, Marty O'Donnel, and Jack Wall as Magic Emperor Ghaleon.

I would love to go to Otakon, but I am based in Washington State. Sakura Con and PAX are right next door to me, but Otakon is a cross-country trip. If my video work picks up I'll start saving up. It would be amazing to organize the greatest Lunar cosplay/fan group ever.

Is anything else going to Otakon this year? I would love to meet some other Lunar fans, especially since I'll finally get to cosplay Lucia this year.
