Toshiro Mifune

I've been on a Toshiro Mifune binge lately. I watched Seven Samurai, Yojimbo, Hidden Fortress, Ran, Kagemusha, over the past decade or so, and Throne of Blood, and Rashomon around the beginning of this year. Recently (previous 1-2 months) I saw Shinsengumi: Band of Assassins, The Birth of Japan, and the Miyamoto Musashi Samurai Trilogy. Anyone have any other Mifune recommendations? Preferably pre-Meiji period pieces.

Alternatively, if anyone wants my thoughts on the previous movies and wants to get into Mifune movies (he's a Japanese actor in countless samurai films), I can give my reviews.

Some good Post-Edo
Hell in the Pacific - American solider and Japanese soldier stuck on an island together during WW2.
Red Sun - Charles Bronson vs Toshiro Mifune in a Cowboy vs Samurai

Some minor roles in good movies or series -
Zatoichi Meets Yojimbo
Sword of Doom
Shogun TV Series

Red Sun seems like it might be a comedy (at least partially), judging by it's description? It and Hell in the Pacific both look good. I just bought both on ebay, I'll post back when I watch them both.
