After many years and many people recommending I watch this, I finally saw the whole series of Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water. And I was quite, quite impressed. I subsequently watched the movie tied to the series, which didn't add anything. But I was wondering who else here has seen this series?

The fact that Toshiyuki Kubooka was involved definitely makes it desirable to other Lunar fans. And I got both sets of DVDs quite inexpensively on Amazon.

So funny that you would mention this show! I've been really interested in watching it as of late. I distinctly remember Nadia commercials on most of the anime VHS tapes I bought when I was a kid. The previews were always so intriguing to me, and I wanted to watch it, but could never find Nadia tapes in my area. A few months ago I was looking around for more of Kubooka's art, and was pleased to find some Nadia concept pieces he did. The show has been on my mind ever since, I've been meaning to watch it! I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it! :D

I first heard about it on newgrounds.com they had a good article about how disneys Atlantis ripped everything off from Nadia, I have it on dvd, eventually I'll get it on blu ray, but it was a great series, hoping toonami would air it

I haven't watched as much of it as I would like (the notorious production troubles may be dampening my enthusiasm,) but it starts out beautiful and I find the character designs in particular very inviting.

Like I've seen them before or something...

It led the way for Neon Genesis Evangelion

So I starting watching it recently, and it was getting exciting and good... And after the first confrontation with Neo-Atlantis (ep 8), the show resorts to really bad comedy filler for several episodes... Which totally killed my enthusiasm.
