Have you watched Trigun: Badlands Rumble yet? It's pretty good I think.

No not yet, first time i watched Trigun i didn't even know about the movie. And when we recently when we watched Trigun (my boyfriends first time watching it), we planned to watch it about half way through the series and forgot about it, and since have moved on to other shows to watch. I think after we finish watching our current show, and go back to movies for a bit i throw it in to the mix.

The last anime I finished was Berserk I think. Really enjoyed it. I've just started Kenichi the Mightiest Disciple, I quite like it so far.

Samurai Champloo. I'm really not into hip-hop, but I do love old Japan (and don't mind historical inaccuracies if said media works as a narrative.) So yeah, 'twas pretty awesome.

Just got done watching all of Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood for the first time a couple of days ago. It has easily become one of my favorites now. I have no idea why I didn't watch it sooner considering how much I loved the original back in the day. Since I haven't watched the original since it first aired on TV, I'm now going through and rewatching the original Full Metal Alchemist. :P

Jesus, there's some really dated crap in this thread.

Shingeki no Kyojin - One word: Intense.

Kingdom (Season 1) - If Suikoden could choose to be an anime..

Maoyu Maou Yuusha - JRPG parody to teach some economics.

Shin Sekai Yori - An emotional journey that's different yet familiar.

Space Battleship Yamato 2199 - The Lost Spirit of Space Opera is back!

Princess Kaguya by Studio Ghibli is, like almost every Ghibli film, a masterpiece. This one in particular is like a watching moving traditional Japanese painting.

Also watching Code Geass R2 (finished season 1 awhile ago.) I <3 Lelouch. At least so far, as from what I hear he gets less likable towards the ending. I'll probably post again when I finish it.

I recently watched Shamanic Princess. Only 6 episodes long, but really good. It's a nice pre-CGI fantasy anime that actually doesn't take place in a Japanese high school, which is one anime cliche I'm quite sick of.

Also I finished Code Geass R2. In the end, I still love Lelouch (though towards the end he got on my nerves in many episodes.) So many plot twists!

Hm, well, the last time someone mentioned Puella Magi Madoka Magica was in 2011-2012. That's the last thing I saw in its entirety.

Admittedly I would never have watched it if Jenner didn't make me sit through 6-7 episodes first. I don't care for the magical girl genre, but once it gets a few episodes in and you realize it's not like anything you've seen before, it starts to get pretty incredible. I'm really glad I saw it -- as jaded as I am about anime these days, it's really amazing to see something that captures my attention and interest this much.

Anyway, if you haven't seen Madoka, you really should. I highly recommend it. ...and I don't recommend anything anime-wise anymore. KF

I started going through CrunchyRoll in alphabetical order a couple months ago. I'm almost through the A's (I'm currently watching Argevollen which is like a really boring Gundam ripoff with lovely animation but boring characters.)

Most of it didn't really stand out, but the last one I watched, Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day was actually quite good. Even if you are kind of jaded about the animes (I am looking at you Kizyr), I recommend watching a few episodes and seeing if you like it. It feels more like something written by Yoshimoto Banana than an anime (although her writing has been compared to being more like comic books than literature.) Anyway, it was sweet and a I liked the characters and the music.
