The new Futurama episodes are still pretty good!

I can't help but read that phrase, regardless of its context, in a Professor Farnsworth voice.

Good new, everyone! I've invented a device that lets you hear my voice when you read letters.

Or something like that... I don't remember the exact quote.

Still pretty good huh? I'm still slightly skeptical, but I shall have to sit down one evening and watch one just to be sure.

No worries! I'm sure it's all over the internet by now, and probably legally too. I've heard some people (me) don't even get cable/satellite/whatever anymore.

Oh, good. It was scary enough when they were talking about getting new voice actors, so it's great that they kept up the quality. (Note to self- start hunting for it online.)
This is either madness, or brilliance- Will Turner
It's remarkable how often those traits coincide- Captain Jack Sparrow, Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl

I really liked the new episodes. It's like they never left. And I really enjoyed the whole intro about changin' channels.

Yeah, I actually found out they are repeating it on Sunday (or was it Monday?). DVR is set to record that, and the next episode on Thursday, so I'm good. ;)

I know it's late, but I just saw that episode. That is my new favorite one-liner.

You know... the more I watch these new episodes, the more I think that they're trying too hard. =/ There's been some funny moments, but some of the premises of the individual episodes are a little too random. Hey look, Amy and Bender love each other now! or What if Hermes was Bender's father?

Did they rush the writing to get the show back on and make money?

I dunno. I think they're getting back into their groove. I thought this last episode was best one so far. The montage at the end with Hermes and Bender seemed like classic Futurama to me. Sure, it's not at the level of Luck of Fryish or Jurassic Bark, but the feeling seemed the same. It's a combination of oddball sci-fi humor and genuine heartwarming humanity... starring a sarcastic robot, a mutant, a crab monster, and a Pizza delivery boy from a thousand years in the past.

I took a class my freshman year about classic tragedies. At the end of the class we turned to modern day works (in particular those belonging to the theater of the absurd) and analyzed whether these were tragedies in the Greek (and Shakespearian) sense. If were to ever teach this class, I would definitely show Jurassic Bark... which is why I would never be put in the position of teaching a class like this...
