Mondo Cane (Band).

Post by DeathBeforeDenial »

Mike Patton (ex. Faith No More) has recorded some amazing renditions of 50's, 60's and 70's Italian pop tunes with like a 30 piece orchestra and is going to be releasing it at some point, hopefully this year as a project called "Mondo Cane".

It's really amazing music and Patton's vocals are just fantastic. He carries a lot of his personality through and it's great to hear a guy mostly associated with rock music to be involved in something like this rather than reaching a point of stagnation.

The video is in 16 parts (I think), but the link has them all in a playlist. I highly suggest checking it out, there are some beautifully rendered Italian classics in there.

They said that on Saturday evening Arsenius used to turn his back to the setting sun and stretch out his hands towards heaven and pray until, at dawn on Sunday, the rising sun lit up his face, and then he sat down again.

Hah, you just made my day!

It's not every day I see someone who likes Mr. Bungle, in my opinion, one of the all-time great musical acts for their creativity and raw ability. My favorite of their three full-length albums is definitely "Disco Volante", though the others are almost as good.
