Heat Guy J. 'Cute da, Angel...'

Has anyone seen Heat Guy J? I just finished it a couple of days ago, I must say it was an enjoyable ride. It has action, drama, style, lovable characters, bits of comedy and a great story. Even the side characters get a lot of screen time. Unlike most animes, the secondary characters are well fleshed out, with a decent backround for each one. They're not just there for the sake of being there.

I must say that I was surprised how good this series is. To tell you the truth, I wasn't expecting much. Gangster-Robot-action/drama doesn't exactly scream 'watch me'. There are some faults however. The music and pacing is sometimes subpar, but it doesn't detract from the series as a whole. Heat Guy J, look out for it. If anyone has seen Gungrave, they'll probably like J, and vice versa.

Actually, it's not about mechs. By 'robot' I meant more along the lines of android.
