I wonna by the best you now...
Hey, you can make a new thread to introduce yourself if you wish.
Anyway, if you ask me, either of the Eternal Blue games are the best of the series (you'll likely only be able to find the Playstation Lunar 2: Eternal Blue version). However, I'd recommend getting Silver Star Story first, before playing the sequel. KF
i was always more of a silver star story fan myself but any lunar game is good as long as you stay away from the gameboy games i dont know what lunar legend is like so that might be ok but DS isnt that great.
im sure alot of people wish that game was never made i know i was looking foreward to a new lunar game and when it came out it was just a huge dissapointment if you want the real lunar experience i would sugest picking up a playstation or a sega CD and playing some those games or if you dont have that kind of money most of the games are over 50$ and it would depend if you want all the fancy extras for the plasstation versions you could always get an emulator for them so you wouldnt need to buy the actual system.
The best Lunar game is infact Lunar: The Silver Star, at least in my mind.

Lunar Legend, the GBA game, is playable on the DS, so that might be the easiest for you to start with. Neither it nor Dragon Song are as strong as other games in the series and in particular neither have the classic battle system, but it will give you something to start with, if you can find it. If you like Legend then you can decide whether you want to try to track down the PlayStation or SegaCD games, which will be harder to do.
Even if they did include some animation, the quality and sound would have been aweful. Those games that do have some animation or live action (like DBZ: Goku's Legacy, or LotR: The Two Towers) have extremly short scenes, with no dialog. Though I am curious to how the animated TV show carts look and sound.

they could have extended the length of the cart like on the old genesis games or just packed it really tight i know that ocharina of time was almost twice as heavy as my other N64 games.
I'm sure now the technology would allow it (look at the DS carts, no bigger than a SD card and can hold just as much if not more info than a N64 cart) but in 2002, I'm pretty sure the technology wasn't there, or if it was, it certainly wouldn't have been economical at all. The cost for memory falls each year, but just because it's cheap this year doesn't mean it was cheap last year, know what I mean?

If they extended the length of the cartridge, there still wouldn't be a way to fit all the Lunar video and audio onto it. And, the larger a cartridge is used (in terms of memory), the more expensive the game. KF
