Greetings from germany

Post by SephirothX »

Hello Lunar fans!

It´s been a while since I played Lunar SSSC and EB,
but I still love the series as much as you do.
In my opinion the Lunar games are the best RPG´s ever made.
I searched for a Lunar fansite in the past, I´m so excited I finally found one *g*
How long does this website exist?
I´m looking forward to have a good time with you.

greetings
SephirothX

Moved to introductions!

G1 can tell you more about how long we've been around, but in some form or another, it's been 9 years... if you're including the forum on here, I'd say 6 years this... March? May? Something like that. ;)

Welcome to the board!

Yeah, just over 9 years for the site itself. There have been forums on the site for about 8 and a half years, but these current forums were opened around 2000-2001.

Psst, these current forums have been around since around 2002, when I joined in December of 2001, you still had those, what where they, shmidts or something along those lines. ;) *get's bricked to death*

Welcome! Are you truely from Germany? In that case, Guten Tag, or Wellkommen! (My spelling may be a bit off, it's been a few years.)

Snitz Forums. They were based on ASP rather than PHP. And I was counting that incarnation in this, because even though we switched board applications, it was still the same member base. I don't really count the original forums of LunarNET (ie. 1998) as these forums because those forums are technically RPGFan's forums now. LunarNET actually disappeared for a year-ish while RPGFan got started, hence why these forums aren't really the same ones.

OOOOOOOOoooooooooh, well, that makes sense :P

By the way, I forgot to add this in. *ahem* I just renewed my supply of friendship rings. The last two blizzards really kept my supply trucks at bay. However, they finally got to me. So, have a friendship ring :D.

His favorite character might be from a series other than that which he considers best, and/or he may prefer to use the same screenname everywhere.

(Though I'll say it's probably a good thing Ruby isn't active right now...)

Welcome! Glad you finally found a Lunar site. Another you might consider if you're at all interested in fanfiction is the Shrine to Ghaleon. The Shrine has a different specialty from LunarNET (Lunar fanfiction and fanart largely, and of course stuff relating to Ghaleon), and a slightly overlapping community. It's also the oldest Lunar site that's still active - ten years.

Almost forgot to include the url: http://sabrecat.net/ghaleon

Hi guys,

9 years, wow
guess I always searched in the wrong place *lol*

very good german skills @ phyco126

"he may prefer to use the same screenname everywhere"
Alunissage is absolutely right

"germany hugh i guess this site is pretty diverse"
It is, exigence. The Lunar games were never released in germany so I guess you will not find many fans from there. I also had to modify my PlayStation to play the us version.

Where do you guys come from?

Fairly, we've had people from south america as well. Who knows where else, I stopped keeping track years ago :D

And Seph, thank you! I used to live in germany as a child, then took a couple of german classes in high school, but that was over 3 years ago, so my german is basic and rusty at best. ^^;

...I was just poking fun.

I'm from Iowa. I like it here, even though we're typically farming folk. Yee Howdy!
Germany is probably pretty cool, though. It'd be nice to be a worldly kind of person.

Edit:And while I'm being a cheeky little imp, I'll say that I think Sephiroth looks like David Bowie on the Labyrinth.

Greetings from Faust.

I just want to say that the band Scorpions is the perhaps best thing to come out from Germany for the past 30 years IMHO. Favourite rock band while I was growing up. Are you a fan as well, may I know?

Sephiroth. Initially I thought he pretty cool for a main antagonist until he killed a certain lady. That scene left me seething in anger and pain. Pretty badass in Advent Children too if I may add.

Enjoy posting here...^_^

Labyrinth gave me a crush on Jennifer Connely since I was 10.

Come on, you know you thought she was hot, too. KF

Where did you live in germany @ phyco126
Did you enjoy it? Hope you have beautiful memories ;-)

I never saw Labyrinth, but after that screenshot
Image
I watch out for it *g*

Thats pretty 80´s style isn´t it? Music from that area is so great!
too bad that the scorpions vanished from the media, but they are still successful. What´s your favourite song from the scorpions?

I totally agree, Seph is a real bad ass, poor aerith :-(
I didn´t like advent children. The atmosphere in the game was much better[/url]
