Lunar Threads

I thought I made a post titled this once before, I was going to bump it. I just did a forum search to no avail...

Anyway, yeah. I start college on Monday and I cannot sleep.

._. I'm having the opposite problem. My new medication makes me sleep too much!! @_@

Sleep is overrated. Sure, it makes you feel good and it is very uncomfortable to be away. But I digress.

Last week was the first week of the new semester, and I didn't get any sleep. After all these years studying, there's still just something exciting about the first day of class.

When I finally do sleep, I wake up intermittently.

So be honest... I'm just incredibly lonely.

I've been sleeping way to much, i can sleep for 12 hours, wake up, 5 hours later go back to sleep for a couple of more hours, out of bordom.

Well, school started up for me again too on Monday. I can always NEVER sleep the day before school starts. Some times I can't even sleep during the middle of the school year, so what I do is put my PSP on my nightstand and just play it until I get sleepy enough to fall asleep. It works for me rather well, actually. I just need something to help make myself fall asleep sometimes during the school year. I sometimes do books if I don't feel like playing my psp.

My first day back to college was good though. It was nice to see my friends again. ^^;

I go back to work at my first actual gig since last season starting today (first rehearsal for a show that'll open next month), and frankly I'm just excited to have a regular paycheck again. And I've got another show booked already for right after that, so I know for sure that I'll be able to buy food at least through Halloween! (Being a starving artist sounds really awesome at first, but then you actually get hungry. )

But yeah, this means I'm gonna have to get on a regular sleep schedule again. I've been pretty erratic the last month or so, sleeping at odd hours that vary greatly from day to day. I've been getting by through the summer doing random performances in bars and churches (yes, you read that right), so I haven't had any particular reason to be awake at the same time of day every day, so I've just been sleeping whenever I happen to get tired, and it's led to me keeping strange hours. Last night, for instance, I fell asleep at around 8pm and then I woke up naturally at 3am. And there isn't much you can do in the middle of the night when you're stone sober and currently sleeping alone. So I end up sitting with my piano or my guitar and writing music that I can't afford to record yet because studio time is fatal hopping expensive.

Have I mentioned that I've been going absolutely stir-crazy this summer?

I feel your pain, i've been like the last 5 or 6 years.

I think posting in this thread jinxed my sleeping, i was up for 20 something hours, went to bed at 6am and woke up at 8:30 am really happy, and i've been up since then (now 11:30) my eyes are tired, but i feel sort of awake and like i can't sleep.

I started school today and I missed my first class.
Way to start off the semester. I keep worrying about it, I hope it's not as bad as I'm making it out to be. I'll just go in on Thursday I guess... it'll be okay, right? I hate the first few days of school.

Speaking of lonely, I'm afraid I'm still hopelessly attached to my boss. I adore that kid so much. We actually hung out this past Saturday night! D:

I've been staying with my Boyfriend for the last month, and tonight he left at 2am to help his friend at work, and now i can't sleep with out him..... ;~; it's 5:40am im so tired
