What kind of design is that on the dress? I like it. It looks vaguely like a butterfly, for it looks slightly too uneven to be a flower.

And cool pic too, Hiro. I've seen inner tubes like that at a water park near Atlanta, but they're probably all over the place.

It's just a floral motif, although a somewhat odd one. The dress is silk/rayon devoré velvet -- devoré means that the nap (fur) of the velvet has been eaten away rather like an acid etching to make patterns. The top part of the devoré motif is a bit distorted because the fabric is stretched over my chest...bias-cut fabrics have a lot of drape and stretch and this dress is remarkably forgiving and fits a relatively wide range of sizes. However, if my chest were any larger there'd be problems. The dress also fits my sister, much slimmer than I, pretty well, though the top isn't so stretched on her.

I also made my own shawl, though it doesn't show off all that well in the pic. I seem to have it on inside out, which I wouldn't have thought possible. I really wish I'd had a pic taken before the event, full-length so the whole shawl and shoes and all showed (the shoes and shawl were a great match), but we didn't have time. Well, I'm wearing the same clothes to another wedding in September.

Well, I figured since I'm still kind of new you should at least know what I look like. I was surprised to find out that of all the pictures on my hard drive, I'm not in many myself. Tons of my friends, some of my family, almost none of me! So here's the best I could find.

I'm the guy on the right... who's about to e-mail his friends for pictures of himself in the most vain way he can think of. Hmmm, I don't even remember what we were laughing about in this picture.

And, um, yay for orange hats! My school colors are orange and white, so I'm obligated to say that. When you go there, and have game days, you quickly tire of the color. Ironically, I like blue, which is the color of sky, many days. Always up there. Too often I forget to look. But then, if I looked as often as I wanted to, I'd never see where I was going. Probably would meet more interesting people that way, hmmm... okay, I'm rambling!

Its an LM2500 aero-derivative gas turbine. Ive named my new sport LM2500 rodeo. Its gonna kinda be like a rodeo with bulls where you see how long you can hang on, except instead of an angry steed, you have 26,600 horsepower between your legs with a highly volatile fuel running through it.

Hmm, maybe I shoulda thought this over more......
