starting the year off right

Post by meg »

i am high as a kite on midol right now. and in my drug enduced floatiness, i have decided that when i am old and menopause sets in, i shall throw a magnificent biddy party. biddy hats and grey hair will MANDATORY. if grey hair cannot be gotten naturally for this event, then dye or wigs will be a must.

i personally shall be in full biddy regalia, complete with tacky cat brooch, overkill blush, and squinty sparkly biddy glasses.

the boxed wine will overflow. the devilled eggs, everywhere! i'm tearing up a little just thinking about it.

everyone is invited, i promise.

i will. and i'll STILL want that biddy party.

seriously, there's this little shop that sells fancy old lady hats just a few blocks from my apartment. i pass it every say on my way to work.

when i am a biddy, i will have one for every day of the week. i'll wear them with jeans and ugly sweaters. it'll be great.

Oh my god, you'll have to come down to Florida for this party. It's the land of old biddies.

I'll just bring my favorite two, then.

Canes are permissible for the men, yes? KF

Amen to that brother! We live in the state of retirement! So that means we can come too, yes? There are more biddy shops, activities, and people here than anywhere else! Must be the weather....

If we go that route, at some point I want to yell, "You kids get off my lawn!" And possibly something about how they need to turn down that noise they call music.

The crazy heck, Meg?

the crazy heck is my often mind-numbing job. it's a good job when i have things to do.

but i work much faster than they're accustomed to, and when i run out of stuff, i scramble for ways to keep my brain from rotting. so far, i've been told i can't draw or any other visible way be doing things not directly related to my job. however, it's a low paying job BECAUSE there isn't a great deal to do.

but i can't --(complain irratably, gee i forgot about the language filters)--, because the only real way i could protest would be by leaving, and they'd have me replaced inside a week. the market here for artists/web designers/ illustrators is a wee bit saturated.

they finally handed me a fat book on some program/programming language and told me to learn it.

wheeee
