*Important* If you're experiencing any glitches in Lunar:SSH

Post by Silver Phoenix »

XSEED wants to know where you're encountering them, how frequently, and specifically what is happening.

Here is a link to the Lunar:Silver Star Harmony Facebook page where you can post about any problems with the game.

http://www.facebook.com/pages/Lunar-Sil ... opic=20341

Detail the following if you're experiencing any problems:

1) The bug/glitch
2) Where you experienced it
3) What version of the game you're playing (UMD or PSN)
4) What PSP model you have/firmware

If you don't have a Facebook account you can email XSEED directly on their website http://www.xseedgames.com under the 'About' section or I can make a post with your glitch information provided here.

Is the SLOW loading time between areas of a town (like going in and out of buildings) considered a glitch? Or is that just a crappy annoyance? Bc so far, that's the only problem that I've had with the game.

The loading is a necessary evil as the music is streamed off of the UMD, and each new screen is basically refreshing the data stream. It could also be that Game Arts couldn't fine tune everything because they had difficulty developing the game on the PSP in the first place. I don't know to what extent they had problems, but overall I'd say they found their way to a finished product. I read about the difficulties in development in one of the interviews, and it may have been Dobashi making the comment.

i beat the game already, did it this morning, but let me try to remember.

i know in the battle in the talon mine Kyle disappeared and reappeared after you won the battle, only happened once to me.

&

there's a glitch in the game, forget where that Mia makes a sexual reference towards Jessica, but you know it's supposed to be Kyle who says it.

It's possible the text reference is just basically placing the text in the wrong box, because I experienced something like that before in another scene. I've come across some sentence structure issues, and doubling of words right next to each other as well. These aren't considered glitches

The Kyle sprite disappearing would be a glitch. Of course specifics would have been better but you've already completed the game. What firmware version are you using, your PSP model, and is it PSN or UMD?

Was it an original fat PSP model 1000, or was it a slim PSP?

it's not a slim, i don't think, looks like a fat model, plus this is the first time i've played a game on the PSP, it says on the serial number PSP1001

hope it helps.

Herro,
I have a glitch. It is quite similar to the Kyle disappearing one. Except mine only came earlier in the game. I found mine at the Blue Dragon Temple. I was being attacked by a Deep Slime, he attacked Kyle twice in a row real fast and then Kyle disappeared until the next turn when he attacked. I am running firmware 6.20 on a PSP 3000 with a UMD version. This did not effect my gameplay in anyway except for on a visual level. Thanks.

Most of these glitches they seem to just let slide as the game functions normally after the battle. They just seem to be looking for game-breaking glitches at this point. Regardless any glitch should not be present, and it's really Game Arts problem as this stuff was carried over from the Japanese release.

On a few occasions, I've had the dialog slow way down, but after a few more paragraphs, it would return to its normal speed.

This happened to me, too.

There are a couple spots like that. Once, in Lann, I think, someone replies with something not nice about Vane to Nash, but it still shows Nash's glowing face.

Since I've read this topic I've been scouring the game for any sort of mistake and its been quite fun. I noticed that right as soon as you enter the lost woods for the first time Nall says "Alex, these woods me of the Ghoto Woods, except that it's so..."

Oh well, these things are bound to happen

Yeah I've noticed words missing or word doubling among other things. With the insane amount of text you have to sort through mistakes usually happen in localizing. Being a very small company doesn't help with the editing process and things slip by.
