Release date moved

Post by Shin Otaku III »

I looked all over the site and didn't see that anyone had posted this news:

I checked gamestop's site too to make sure it wasn't just amazon:

Yeah, I got the same email yesterday. Gives me more time to find a PSP for a good price. :P

Wait, changed by the publisher? Does this mean this info came from XSEED?

That's likely a template Email sent out anytime a game is delayed. I imagine it's getting much more accurate to the actual date now though. But everything I've understood is that there's no official date yet. Whenever there is one, I plan to put up a countdown clock on the homepage like we did for DS a few years back.

I pre-ordered my copy at gamestop earlier today and that's the same date I was given. It just happened that the worker was also a Lunar fan, so we ended up having a short conversation about Lunar 3.

I received the same email yesterday. Luckily, there are other releases in February to keep me occupied. I'd rather have a quality localization than a rushed one.

Yeah, I'd rather have a quality game also. Despite the fact that Lunar is on the PSP and FFXIII is on the PS3, I hope it doesn't get lost in the shuffle (only coming out a week before it). I gues sthe good thing is the amount of preorders that have come in so far.

I'm all in favor for having it delayed. I have other personal deadlines going on until mid-Feb or so and don't want to have to choose.

I'm in the same boat. In fact, I'd actually welcome a delay into April. :P

I'd prefer it sooner than later within reason, but I have a lot more games to undertake in the next few months. I have at least three major games alone coming in March, and that's not counting Lunar.

Are you really Vic or George Brossard from 3drealms? =P

Nah, just somebody that has WAY too many things going on right now. If the game ends up coming out on March 2nd, I probably won't get much time to play it until April.

A delay just means I'll get to hold onto my money just a tad longer. As with everyone else, I got way to many things going on. I barely take the time to play any games I bought recently. =/

Hah! Now I'm not in debt! Although I didn't get the message from Amazon...however it'll probably take me till March to beat Chrono Cross so I'm happy with a set back. In fact, let's move it to mid-may so I won't be in school and trying to cram video game time in when I'm on the train and consequently get the PSP stolen. :|

If he said he would gladly put it off until December 2014, then we would know for sure it was George Brossard in disguise.

As much as I know you guys/girls want the game to fit into your schedule, you have to consider mainstream sales. The longer you delay something the less likely it is going to sell as well. February would have been the best month to release the game, because there are too many high profile titles starting in March.

If the game is post-poned too long they may start to see pre-orders removed in expectation of other games being bought.

Me and my friend just had a small argument about the release date, she said she was going to pre-order it but decided not to since it comes out on feb.2 and i told her no its more like march, and then she kept on saying that IGN says it so it must be true, and another friend of ours thought it was feb.2 too because of IGN, and they just didn't belive or trust me or you guys, till i showed her this thread with the email.

Shouldn't we thank Xseed for remembering that waiting is an important part of the Lunar experience? ^_^;
