Release Date

Post by Monde Luna »

I was killing some time this morning on gamespy: http://psp.gamespy.com/playstation-port ... lver-star/

They claim to have the release date for L:SSH

US 9/30/09
JP 12/31/09

If these are in fact the correct release dates do you think they switched them on accident. I thought SSH was supposed to be released in the US in Q4 and in Japan in Q3. I think IGN also had the release date as 9/30/09 but I assumed that was the Japanese release date.

Most official places (GameSpot, e.g.) jump the gun with release dates.

No official release date has been made--for either the Japanese or American versions. Even September for the Japanese release date is premature. No place that claims a September release has cited any sources, so it's entirely speculation and rumor at this point. KF

That boxart can't be authentic. The US subtitle for the game is "Silver Star Harmony" (and not "Harmony of Silver Star"). And that can't be the Japanese boxart, because it has XSEED's name on the front.

I saw that date on IGN a while back. It's 100% not true. No release date has been set here or in Japan.

As ilmg said, the boxart isn't authentic. Gamefly likely just nicked it from a photoshopped version someone else did as a concept. The real boxart hasn't yet been released on either side. KF

Oh well, they fooled me. :P It'd be a solid cover though.

Well, it's likely going to be similiar to that. That's the new artwork for the game, and unless Kubooka does more, I'm sure they'll use it for the boxart.

I hope the boxart will look similar to the SSSC version but if not it doesn't matter I'd still get it because it's a remake of Lunar and I'll be playing the game not staring at the box.

It will be nice when it gets released, I foresee it in 2010 but you know they could announce the release date at the very last second and surprise us all.

nice pic exigence

At least the fake box art/release dates helps to hype up LSSH a little. No matter how small Lunar needs all the hype it can get.

It does need a lot of help, the series isn't as popular as it should be so maybe it will draw in more fans since it's a newer game for this gen. I just hope it's a little more like it's SegaCD incarnation.

If this game is even half as good as the sega CD version that will make it about 20 times better than anything else on store shelves. Its been about a year since i've bought a new game every time i look there's never anything worth buying everything thats come out recently has been pretty generic looking.
