Best Voice

Post by Zalbag »

Who Infact did you think had the best voice in all of Lunar....

Like for me

Ghaleon was the best voice of all, just that laugh man....makes you wish you could sound like him....

and Leo....his deep solid voice....:3

No need for a Poll I don't expect this topic to be too huge XD

My biased opinion is Lucia/Kelly Weaver. <3 <3 <3

My unbiased opinion is John Truitt.
Don't blame me, Lucia promised me lots of snuggles and cuddles if I would be her PR guy.

Ghaleon > *

The guy who plays Quark(sorry I'm terrible with names) is pretty awesome too.

Also, I prefer the old Hiro to the new one. They are different are they? If not then it just sounds way different to me.

Ah I did like Luna's Voice as well.

John Truitt....I want his Autograph XD only person I know remotely famous is Petrea Burchard :p

But I love Ghaleon's Voice its perfect like many others say!

Lucia's Voice work was good, at first this shy little girl then all of a sudden she sings to children. Perfect.

I'm gonna agree with Zalbag on this one: Ghaleon (EB mostly) and Leo. Those voices just shone above the rest so much. They were both better than the original Japanese voices, at that.

As for the original Japanese voices... Well, Megumi Hayashibara did Lemina's voice, and that was great. But the rest of the cast was quite good as well, for both EB and TSS (haven't played SSS in Japanese yet). KF

I don't know if I could flat out pick a favorite. But Nall's mousy voice was pretty cute :P

I do love Ghaleon's voice... and his out-takes were priceless! Though I have to say I did like Mia's voice too. Very cute.

John Truitt and Hal Delahousse were the best-suited, in my opinion.

Well, I like Xenobia's voice on the Lunatic Festa drama CDs. I don't know if the same person did the game, though. I also like Luna's la la la stuff (that is, the bits that aren't Jenny Stigile). I dunno, it's pretty hard for me to hear English VAs as good... not because of some otaku bias but because when the lines are in a language I understand it's much easier to hear infelicities of intonation and such.

Mag: Yes, Hiro's VA was replaced for EBC. They felt the first one was too lispy. The other VAs reprised their parts, though I understand some of Lucia's clips from the first game were used in EBC.

It was cool they kept all the SSSC cast from the first game, they almost through out the dude Alex played (Angel) Lol XD which would have made many sad ; ;.

I think the guy who played quark did Leo (Ty)

Not sure.

Quark was Hal Delahousse, and by far has the best dragon voice, in my opinion.

Ghaleon, of course. It's a close race between Ghaleon and Nash for me. I just felt that Nash's voice fit the character so very well, even if we didn't hear it too much.

Honorable mention goes to Jean and Alex, though.

Nonsense. 8)

I'm still angry that Nall's VA was a woman - one with her voice pitch-shifted, no less. He didn't need to be so mousy and he could've at least sounded somewhat masculine.

...but then again, that is nothing knew in Anime or Video Games, so I'm just being needlessly annoying right now. >_>

Well, considering his small size, the voice seemed to fit IMO. Though, I really can't lie, at first I thought he was a she, especially for nagging so much.

When playing Lunar as a little kid, I always thought of Nall as a boy. Also there was that whole cat thing in Saith that establishes he's male. I would always get upset when someone called him a girl or "it". (Random: When I'd play in the backyard with my brothers and sister, I always imagined I was a "female version of whatever Nall is" xD That was before I figured out that Nall was a dragon, and before I knew about EB, so I didn't know about Ruby.)

Okay, now that I've shared a little history about my Nall fandom, on with the topic! xD

I love the energy Jessica's VA has (Melissa Gulden was her name?). She was really able to get across Jessica's bold personality and range of emotions. Whether it was screaming at Kyle or crying at the end of the game, I thought she did an excellent job at delivering her lines.

Jenny is another one of my favorites, Royce, Ruby, Jean and Luna's singing voice all in one! What's not to love? :D

But it's really hard for me to pick just one VA. I think they all did a wonderful job, and there's something specific I like about each of them. The Lunar games have the best voice casts I've ever heard. There isn't a character I'm disappointed with in terms of voice work.

You do have a point, I was very impressed with both games and the voice talent they had cast. It really set the stage for me and RPGs (well now anyway...). It's something that reminded me about how I was a bit dissapointed in Star Ocean the Second Story, the voices were... to say it nicely no where near Lunar in quality.

I have to say that I thought Nall was a boy from scene one... his voice just reflected his size, that's all.

I can't believe I forgot to mention Nash! I also thought his voice really fit him... he got the snarky edge very well. :P
