Don't laugh. It's the best I could do. I made the site a while ago.

Just a few early shots. Saido looks a lot better now. Dont go by that picture.

Also some more progress. Bosses/Monsters can use spells on you now. Sounds like a given but it wasn't there before and adds a lot to the game.

/sigh

I liked the days when this was dead. That way I wasn't excited to play it. I have a bad feeling that when it is released I wont get to play it. So I'm just going to give up on it now. But it sure does look sweet...

Ok, one of these days I am going to get around to checking the SSS novel for more city/town/island names...

How possible is it to add in something after it goes "live"? I'd imagine it'd be rather easy to work in, say, a new island into the game--you just have a new ferry route that goes from Saith or Meribia to the place.

By the way, this is still set 300 years prior to SSS, right? I think it'd get way too complicated continuity-wise if we set it too close to SSS, just so that there could be a few recognizable characters in there. Leaving it 300 years prior gives way more leeway with what can be inserted in (or removed from) the game. KF

It definately has the classic Lunar look to it. I'm loving it. I'm really, really loving it.

What's the word on battles? Is the battle system going to be classic Lunar-style, or something else? Or is it still too early to tell?

I like everything, except navigation menu & starting picture design.

Not much I can do about those things Haru. I didnt make the engine.

Kizyr, you might be right on avoiding Lunar SSSC but it's going to be hard to create new chr's and make quests involving them. Won't the dragons be around though? And I am really anctious for those towns/islands

All battles will be in real time. Monsters charge you and you press ctrl to attack them. Advanced monsters can use spells on you. You can use single monster spells, area spells, arrows, and melee weapons. I will post pictures of the fighting soon enough. Right now I'm mapping the white dragons cave and It's annoying as heck. so many maps to build.

To prevent lag I have to have towns split up into smaller maps. Before Saith was 10 maps. Now the maps are bigger so Saith is only on 4 maps. It's a little annoying at first but what did you expect.

Here's a question that I don't think was asked before... music, will there be music, and from what game?

Thanks for the compliments. Phycho, the music is all midi's and they will all be from SSSC or TSS. Some of the new towns and dungeons might have some of my composed music. Who knows.

Ok, first, I think I can help with coming up with quest ideas, as can a lot of people here. It's all with creating a certain background plot going on that'll provide for enough things to do (e.g., another Vile Tribe leader breaking out, like Memphis, causing occasional--but not devastating--mayhem here and there). And yes, all four dragons should still be around (although the Blue Dragon could be rather young).

I think there're just way too many concerns about continuity that'll come up if it's not a 'safe distance' away from the other games.

All battles will be in real time. Monsters charge you and you press ctrl to attack them. Advanced monsters can use spells on you. You can use single monster spells, area spells, arrows, and melee weapons.

Per the suggestions I had before on which areas of magic to have, do you think another set of suggestions (and incorporating other folks' thoughts) on what fields, and what sort of spells to include in each field, would help at all? Perhaps spell names, too, borrowing from the series? KF

Sweet :D Though too bad the game won't be from SSSC era, as the perfect quest for something from that era would be a dangerous quest to get Nall fish from Lann ;)

Heh, there's already the possibility of getting fish for a different dragon...even so they'll do something for you, creating a double quest.

Wunderbar! Seeing the screen has gotten me very excited.

And aaron, I somehow doubt you insulting the guy who made the maps and then telling him to let you help is going to turn out very well ^^;;;;

By the way, do you need self made images for loading screens between the locations like in ragnarok?
Aaron
This standart sprites from rpgmaker xp totally not connected to lunar series in map design. And imho, they looks weird -_-

Funny Aaron, all but the first pic are pretty much the exact way they look in Lunar so I'm not the one your insulting. :)

Still a pretty harsh thing to say. You must think I'm doing this game just to try and impress people with my mapping skill.

There is no loading in the game Haru. :D
