Lunar Threads

This forum kinda just..appeared..out of nowhere..unless I've been completely missing it this whole time.

Someone mind explaining to me what it is?

It's been here for quite sometime, but I don't know if it was around when you where around. It was an attempt to make a Lunar MMORPG. I saw some of it while it was up, and had promise. However, I think due to lack of time it got held up indefinatly.

Oh. Sounds interesting. Too bad it never went through.

I was one of the beta testers for the original version. It had a lot of promise, and I wish it had been successful. Ahhh well, it was fun during its original stages.

Still trying to figure out what programing is involved with this, I would seriously get into it if I was allowed to help if possible. It seems like so much could be done

I'd love to see Lunar in any new perspective personally. My programming experience is limited but you always learn best when interested in something I've found.

After playing fully 3d immersed MMORPGs (such as Star Wars Galaxies) I think, if it is done right, a MMORPG fully developed by Gamearts could be fun. It has to be done right, and probably have to include more than just the Lunar world. Dunno, if it's done right, I'd play it

I would too... but thanks to Guild Wars I have been rather spoilied with the pay-only-once-for-game-thing... I'm not all that motivated when it comes to games which make me pay every month (as I am a poor college student). But if its for Lunar... oh... well... it'd have to be good. I'm already very cynical about MMORPGs as I'd rather play on my own. But it would be Lunar.... Gah! Alright, to be honest I would be very interested but would probably wait for reviews before playing it. Gots to be careful with the limited fundage yasee...

Hmm... I've never played Final Fantasy XI... mostly because of my cynical attitude towards MMORPGS (it was an adventure in and of itself to get me to actually play Guild Wars, my dearest convinced me to play and I got hooked.) and the fact that I like council systems over computers (call it nostalgia...). Though the offer is nice, I don't think I can pay monthly for a game... too expensive.

'Course if it was Lunar I might make sure I can afford it... but that's another story.

In an unrelated note: Ho-ya! Fifty posts! *dances* (yes I know I'm still an infant regarding post numbers, but that's still an accomplishment to me!)

I played WoW for a while, but I got really tired of it quickly. Everything looked engineered to make you take more time getting places. I find it hard to believe that anyone who's been to Stormwind would disagree with me. That and the extreme materialism finally got the better of me.

I want to try Conan when it comes out though. It's supposed to have a revolutionary combat system and concentrate on interaction with other people.
