Lunar Legend 2?

Lunar Legend was actually a very good remake, in my opinion, it even explained parts of the story I didn't quite understand. I know this was in a different topic, but, in the beginning of the game, the history of Lunar is told. (Even though we didn't learn this until Eternal Blue). Also, in the Damon Spire, one of the books mentions Lucia, saying that one girl was left to watch over the Blue Star when it was evacuated. Does this mean that we'll see Lunar Legend : Eternal Blue?

I highly doubt it, because of the way that Dragon Song went. But, if they do make a new lunar game hopefully it will be the Four Heroes >.<

Who knows, but I too doubt it. However, Lucia is mentioned in SSSC too (Damon's Tower.) Though in SSSC they did mention that some speculated that, judging from the ruins seen on the blue star, the inhabitants of the Silver Star once came from the Blue Star. True, EBC did delve into much of the history, but I think SSSC did give enough info to get a basic gathering of where the people of the Silver Star came from.

I'm not entierly sure I'd like to see an Eternal Blue remake on the DS... though if nothing else the sprites would totally be worth it. I have to say that is exactly why I got through the first Lunar Legend... really.cute. sprites.

I would totally buy the game if they released EBC onto the GBA. Despite the game being larger and longer, they now have the technology to produce it onto carts large enough to hold the content (though I imagine it'll be more watered down like L:L was)

The way some of the character models were drawn gave a lot more animation to the characters and better detail which I liked. Lunar Legend may not be as good as SSSC but the characters looked the best out of any Lunar game.

I would love it if they made an EB version of Lunar Legend for GBA. I really enjoyed LL, it was cute and fun. And hey! When I went on 7 hour road trips to visit family, I could play Lunar! I was so excited! xD Hehe, I really liked being able to carry around a SSSC remake. And I LOVED being able to play LL during class too! xD

I loved the idea of being able to play Lunar on the go. Ironically, waaaaaaaaaaay before the GBA was even announced, I thought it could be possible to make a portable playstation, and put the game onto 4 small mini-disks, so you could play Lunar on the go, animations, voice acting, bromides, the works. Who would have thought that after asking about it on the official playstation forums and being told it couldn't be done, it was done just a mere 4/5 years later?

Personally, I would STILL love to play SSSC on the go, so it would be uber if somebody got the rights to copy the games onto UMD disks.

Well, Sony announced a new "Download service" that would allow PSP owners to download PS1 games and play them. Of course, you'll probably only be able to choose from their selection. So, instead of Lunar, Rival Schools, or Bust A Groove, you'll be able to download Final Fantasy 7 and Metal Gear Solid. Yay.

The PSP is the last gaming system I plan on purchasing for a while, but to be able to play games on it from the old days = uber. Especially FFVII, I'm no fanboy, but I still thought it was a good game (great music too.) However, if they ever allowed SSSC to be DL'ed (which I doubt) then I would like, I dunno, I would donate $200 to Mickey to put towards paying for the hosting of Lunar-net!

I stand corrected. This link gives more details about the new service http://www.engadget.com/2006/03/15/psp- ... and-media/

Apparently, with a downloadable emulator, you can play PS1 games that are on your memory stick. If this is true, then portable Lunar is definitely possible! :D

Hmmmm, well, also cool that they are cutting the price (or shall I say they are releasing a base unit) of just $199, making it one step more affordable than before. Naturally, if everything goes smoothly and according to schedule, I can probably buy one sometime early spring of next year. :)

Just FYI, I do believe this only applies to games you purchase from Sony (which are presumably encrypted or protected similiar to current PSP downloads). I seriously doubt they'd allow you to play your own copies of PS1 games, since it would probably open a door I don't think Sony wants opened.

Sorry to ruin the party. Oh, and phyco, to play something like SSSC, don't forget you'd also a fairly big memory stick. Sold separately. :p

bah, memory sticks are no hassle for me. They are getting bigger and bigger and cheaper and cheaper. By the time I have the money to do it, I could probably get a 2 gig card (which should be enough for SSSC) for less than $100. *shrugs*

But doesn't Sony already have a horrid track record with trying to keep their crap encrypted? Or am I thinking of another company that put encryption viruses to computers, opening doors for other programs to run on your computer?

Yes, that's the same company, different division. I'm told that Sony is really more like a bunch of smaller companies operating under the same name (or umbrella or whatever).

That being said, Sony has done a pretty good job of keeping the PSP from running arbitary software; in general, if you want to play whatever on a PSP, you have to get one with old firmware (which are becoming harder and harder to find). And they've been making updates whenever a hole has been found.

PS1 emulation on the PSP? Awesome! Then all you would have to do is make an ISO of SSSC and then put them on the memory stick. Playstation Lunar games now portable... that would be awesome.

Anyway I am not sure what to think of a Lunar Legend 2. I honestly think that lunar legend could have been better. What bugged me the most was the occasional odd/bad translation. Plus it was way too watered down.

What annoys me is how the music always cracks and stuff, like Meribia, which was nothing but cracks in the music.

The dialogue in Lunar Legend was really, really awkward (sp?) at times. Like when Ghaleon said "Hey, it's no problem" to Luna. Grrrr...

Luna was also more snippy in Lunar Legend. and I still cannot get over the music.

Is it only me that has this problem, cause it makes my game near unplayable >o<!
