Lunar: Walking School English reproduction cart?

Post by AlexHiro4 »

Hey guys!

I know that an English translation for Magical School Lunar is in the works, but from what I understand there's already been an existing English translation for Lunar: Walking School for Game Gear. I've been considering diving into the world of reproduction cartridges, especially for games that originally only got a Japanese release, so I was wondering if anyone knows of a company online that would be willing to do an English reproduction cartridge of Lunar: Walking School. It's hard enough to find a decent variety of Game Gear repros in general, but finding an English repro of a Japanese-only Game Gear game with such limited popularity is proving to be difficult.

Any thoughts?

Not a repro cart per se but the end result of it functioning with real hardware should be the same: https://stoneagegamer.com/flash/everdrive-gg/ . I don't own a Game Gear so I can't verify how well this works though.

I'm sorry for being so late to reply to this. I'd totally forgotten about this post. Anyway, I'd really like to avoid the Game Gear Everdrive because of an article I read by DBelectronics. The gist is that some Everdrives don't handle the voltage difference of the 3.3V cartridge's and the 5V system correctly. The Game Gear Everdrive just so happens to be one of the ones that's handled poorly. This can cause it's Everdrive to overheat and fry the Game Gear itself.

Because of this, I'd rather just find a well-made English Translation repro cart of this game.

If you're interested, here's the article:

According to Instagram, I think this site will do a custom request: https://www.retrocircuits.com/custom-requests/
The original post: https://www.instagram.com/p/BtTQ4_rhndG ... ei75gmn1o1 it's a bit vague but I think it's a WSL reprocart.
