G1, you're going to faint...

I finally started playing EBC. I'm about 6 hours into it.

Ironically, this is actually Coley's copy of it. She always wanted me to play it, too, but I kept forgetting to borrow it. Her mom gave it to me after going through some of her stuff.

I'll let you know how everything pans out. :P

::faints:: Yes, I really can't wait to hear what you think of the story! And I'm sure Coley wouldn't have been able to think of a better place to send it. ^_^

You hadn't played EBC before? Have you played the original EB either?

Nope.

Wow, a true EB virgin.

Have you managed to avoid spoilers this long? If so, you're in for a pretty wild ride.

Alright, Eric! Woo!

Oh, one thing we should tell you. About 15 hours into the game, there'll be a clown on a tricycle named Herman. Now, he basically represents the death of everything you could possibly conceive, so the only way to beat him is to think of something original, and unthink it before he can get to it. Now, this involves a secondary battle system that Lemina has access to, once she gets her level 30 spell 'Memory Lapse'. "D'oh, I've drawn a megamagic blank!" That part lost me for hours... I hope you have better luck.

Eric, when you've played more, please post your thoughts. I'm really interested in knowing what you think as you keep playing through the game. I'm sure you've had lots of it spoiled throughout the years, but I still think the presentation, plot, characters and overall "feel" of this game is something you'd find very interesting.

Hey Jenn, don't underestimate me - I was turned on by the lesbian scenes in Mulholland Drive.

::SPOILER!!!...............(I have absolutely no clue how to use those spoiler thingies you guys have been using, and I'm too lazy right now to try and figure it out, so I'm doing it the old fashioned way.....which really makes no sense, since people have to scroll down past it to see it anyway, but I seriously doubt I'm going to be spoiling this for anyone already reading this post........could someone maybe tell me how to properly do spoilers???)::

anyway...

Okay, I just got to the part where we're in that weird tower (after the rather amusing flight in the wrong direction with Ruby's "Whoooo's ideeaaa waaass thiiiiiiis?!?!?!"). And, of course, I just ran into Ghaleon. I was already expecting this, just because the instruction booklet for the game isn't very good at disguising the "mystery character". But it was still really cool. Actually, what surprised me was how the discussion went. It had a very bizarre feeling to it that made me blink and go, "Did that seriously just happen, or did I imagine that?"

But I'm enjoying the game so far. The story, obviously, is just starting to get more in depth, but even before that I was enjoying the story.

I'm actually doing better at this game than SSSC because I'm actually taking the time to level up for a change. ::hates leveling up...goes and plays Rhapsody, fights 1 battle, gains 50 levels::

I like how all the townspeople actually have interesting things to say, instead of a lot of games where you have like fifty people who are all "Please! I know nothing!"

The intrigue so far definitely has me going.[/code]

I knew we had a lot more in common.

Hey, that was my same reaction! 'Course, my jaw was still on the floor.

By the way, a few spoilers for the older games don't need the tag so much, since they've already been out for so long. Spoilers for Genesis / Dragon Song will have to be marked once there's more specific discussion on them. KF

I don't think you have to worry about spoilers. You were probably the last person here who hadn't played it, and if anyone else hadn't, they've already had most of the game spoiled as well. It is too bad that you don't get to experience some of the plot twists due to already having it spoiled, but most of those scenes are still so dramatic they work well.

Right, you're just an overall sexual deviant, through and through ;)

I can't believe you never played Eternal Blue Balls. You're gonna need some Red Dragon Anger to heat them up.

Even after having countless things spoiled, experiencing the game for yourself will still have it's impact. The drama towards the end of the game will really set the tone for you.

Yeah, the story only gets better throughout the game.
