SSSC & Legend monster?

Post by Alunissage »

I'm hoping someone with a save near around Lyton or so can help me with this question, as I don't have an SSSC save past Lann Island.

I'm trying to track down a monster which I'm pretty sure is in Legend and possibly is in SSS, but is NOT in the SSSC guide (either WD's or Prima's). In Legend it's called Zane (ゼイン) and is shown on Card #114. The card list on LN has screenshots of most of the cards, but not that one; it does list Zane as being in the Tamur Pass. There is monster data for it in the Legend guide, and of course it's in the list of cards in that guide, but it's not in the list of monsters for any area in the guide. Legend and SSS have nearly identical regular monsters -- seriously, same stats for the few I sampled -- and so I really want to know if that monster is in SSS as well as LL and was just left out of the guides. I'd also like confirmation (probably from Phyco) as to where the enemy is encountered in Legend; I know it has to be because I have the card, but I no longer have late-game saves for that either.

I think I had all the cards up. I know Phyco sent me the last few I didn't have, so he might have the screenshot of it.

Yeah, I can look at the card itself on my own cart. It's where the actual monster occurs in the game that I'm wondering.

I'll look into it, I've got dozens of saves through-out each leg of the game. Shouldn't take me long to encounter one.

The Zane are found in Tamur Pass, when you confront Xenobia

Oh, so they're part of that specific battle that Xenobia starts? Thanks.

Just out of curiosity, what's this info needed for?

Yeah, Zenobia summons them to fight you. It is possible that they are else where in the game, especially if they are the summoned monsters you have to face every time.

Just tracking down an anomaly. I was comparing Legend and SSS monsters from the guides and could only find this one in the Legend monster stats at the end (which don't identify where the monsters are found) rather than in the guide itself. And it's not in the WD guide at all, but the monsters Xenobia throws at you in Tamur aren't either except in the text for what happens at that point.
