Proper spelling of Jessica's last name?

Post by Ian Nathaniel Cohen »

I have a major Lunar fanfic in the works, and I don't want readers to be sidetracked by griping over a misspelled name.

So what IS the proper spelling of Jessica's last name, including with capitals? (I asked a few months ago at another site, but I didn't get any conclusive answers).

Jessica Alkirk (no "de" or "De" or "D'" in it).

When I get home I can go through the notes I have on it and confirm this. KF

Yep, there's nothing between Jessica and Alkirk in the Japanese artbooks or in TSS. The "de" might be there in SSSC. Mel's name does have the "de" everywhere.

Dangit, here's an inconsistency.

English TSS: Jessica Alkirk
English SSSC: Jessica de Alkirk (small 'de')

Specifically, after Xenobia stones Mel, and Jessica tries to lift the spell, she says: "I am Jessica de Alkirk! Daughter of Hell Mel!"

So, there's your answer. KF
