Rip backgrounds from Luanr:EB?

Post by liquidpolicenaut »

I have seen on Wolfgang's Lunar EB site all the various backgrounds from EB. Does anybody know how he was able to rip the actual backgrounds from the game?

There's a Japanese software tool that will let you view the battle backdrops from EB.

Yes, but are they animated? The Sega CD version has (for the most part) much better backgrounds both in scenery and battles. The dragon caves were so much better, especially the red and blue dragon caves. It was cool to see lava flowing in the background during battles in the red dragon cave.

Oh yeah, I totally agree with EBs backgrounds being great but I'm just wondering how he ripped them (although static) from the game. There are a few other Sega CDs I would have liked to see if i could rip some backgrounds from....

There were a couple ripped backgrounds on this site, but they were from Eternal Blue Complete. There really wasn't much. I don't know if this will help, and I'd have no idea where to get the tool to rip the backgrounds from the Sega CD games.
