Mmmkay, I have a lil problem here. After Lucia runs off early in the game to the place where Leo parked the Dragonship Destiny (Can't remember name x_x) When I try to go to the fourth floor i go down the steps and the screen stays black, but I still hear the music...

Any idea how to fix this?

Hmm...if you're running this game using an emulator, get Pete's D3D plugin, and use the special game fix labeled "Fixes black screens in Lunar"

is that for CD or psx? I think you might be confusing PSX with CD

Yeah thats what I thought. I'm talking about Eternal Blue for sega. The psx version Is Eternal Blue Complete. Thanks for your help though. It's very much appreciated.

You didn't say whether or not you were playing the game using an emulator. I had problems with my Sega CD locking up on me while playing both Lunar games. Sometimes the game would freeze and the music would continue playing or sometimes the music would lock up and there would be no sound but I could still play. The sound effects would still work but the music would be silent. Occasionally the music would reload if I left the area or dungeon.

You know, I have some similar problems with my copy of EB. You see, I got my copy about five months after the game came out, used from a Pawn Shop(of all places...). Anyway, the drawback was that it had a nasty scratch, which when coupled with a dirty Sega CD lens makes for laughably skippy anime cutscenes.

I also got your black screens of doom a few times now that I remember back. The worst thing I can remember though was right when Mystere comes in to save Hiro(right when it goes to load up the porno sounding music). The game would freeze over and over again instead of loading the music because the scratch on the disc.

MOST of the skippyness goes away when I use an emulator, but mounting a good image in Daemon Tools is the way I go.

In my current playthrough I haven't found any technical problems, but I got fed up with Zulan (I never liked that place).

I used to have massive issues with TSS on the Sega CD. Any of the four battles that have the "end boss" music (Black Dragon, Xenobia, and both battles against Ghaleon) would have a chance of freezing up after the battle. This was particularly frustrating at the end of the game, as there are three fights that use this music in a row, and you can't save between them.

I remember playing through TSS and having either the game lock up, or the music freeze during the Black Dragon, Xenobia and Ghaleon fights as well. Long sessions of playing were never good for the Sega CD as it would overheat, which was a major factor in having the games freeze. I had a series 2 Sega CD and I could imagine things were even worse on the original model.

I have a model 1 sega cd and a model 2 genesis, and I've never had any problems with TSS. Although, I did send away to get my sega cd repaired at one point.
