So I bought some old magazines from this dude...

Post by Nobiyuki77 »

Okay, long story short, I bought a LARGE about (see over 100) old videogame magazines from this guy on Craigslist. 98% of them are Nintendo Power (even had the first few issues, fricken' sweet!) but he also threw in a few GamePros. Flipping through the GamePros, I came across this little piece.

Just thought I'd share. Higher res below.

I actually have that magazine. I remember the preview, even.

Also, just curious, but how much did you buy those magazines for? I have stacks (200+ easy) of really old Nintendo Power, EGM, Video Games, DieHard GameFan (!!), GamePro, etc. etc. from between 1988-2000s and I'd like to possibly sell them off at some point. They just sit in boxes anyways. I know my name and LunarNET's name are in a few of them, so I'd like to keep those, but if I could sell them for a little bit to get some more boxes out of the way, I'd probably do so.

I bought them off the guy for $40, but I also didn't have to pay for shipping 'cause he was local. I don't know if that's a good indicator though, I honestly think I got a steal as it were.

What issue of GamePro was it? I'd love to go back and get that issue.

Now that this thread's been resurrected I'm noticing something odd in the screenshot showing Luna's spell list... The 'Cascade' spell is a different part of speech than I'm used to.

Well these were probably pre-final images, so minor things got tweaked. Did Luna have a spell simply called Healing?

As a side note, look at the caption under Ramus' picture. It's kind of funny how one of those phrases ends up sharing quite a lot of similarity in Kyle's voice work on XSEED's Official L:SSH site.

She did have a song just called Healing. But yes, the other one was just Cascade.

Ugh, my list of spells for that game needs work. I only have a few of the Japanese names because I didn't want to squint at the guide trying to make out kanji.

Cascade is in the game, it's a buff spell, it increased attack power.

I knew Cascade was in the game, but I didn't know if any of the others had been changed or omitted. One of the annoying factors of TSS spells was not remembering what the heck half of them did once you started using stronger ones later. I like my spells to have descriptions.
