Developer finally?

Post by DevNall »

Didn't notice this is any other threads; I saw this in the copyright on Marvelous's page:

(C) 1992 GAME ARTS (C) 2005 GAME ARTS / Japan Art Media / Marvelous Interactive Inc.

I take this to mean that Game Arts is indeed involved in the game; I have no idea who "Japan Art Media" is, though.

EDIT: And now, I can't seem to access UbiSoft's lunar page, and it's disappeared from their DS game listing? :?:

Japan Art Media is presumably the full version of JAM, which is listed on the title screen of SSSC: http://www.lunar-net.com/sssc/screens.php

Game Arts is the developer. It's just about the only thing on Marvelous's Lunar: Genesis page right now. We'll start finding out more as they add content to it. KF

Yep, the people at insert credit posted it in their news page recently. Glad to see they didn't hand LUNAR over to anyone else. Now I just hope Noriyuki Iwadare is still behind the music, bwahaha.

According to that article, the release date is August 25 in Japan. That makes the July 25 US release date seem a bit impossible.

I'm VERY glad to hear that Game Arts is indeed behind Lunar Genesis!

However keep in mind that we haven't seen Japanese screenshots, only English ones, so it's highly likely that Ubi-Soft has been a part of this from the very beginning, it's entirely possible that Ubi wanted this game made FOR tha American audiance (didn't Vic from WD say at one point that LUNAR is more popular in the US than in Japan now...? )

Yeah, good point. That would certainly be a first, as far as I know.
I want to go back.

Nope. Shining Force: Ressurection of the Dark Dragon was released in Europe, then the US, then Japan. The home region got it last. I think Panzer Dragoon Orta was also released in the US before Japan.

Yes, but it's a Lunar first...yeah, that's what I meant. :P
I want to go back.
