Magical School Lunar, Sega Saturn, My Life in Gaming, and Professor Abrasive

Back in 2008, I purchased Magical School Lunar for $20 off of Ebay, and I got a hold of a Sega Saturn for around $50 (I believe) from Amazon and an Action Replay for $25. I always said I was going to play through it some day while reading an English walkthrough of the game, but out of pure laziness....

High quality S-Video switch box??

Guys, As I've mentioned before, I have a retro gaming setup in one of the rooms of my house. I haven't invested in the whole RGB SCART + Frameister method of obtaining a quality picture yet, but I have invested in great quality S-video cables for the SNES and N64, and I'll be getting two more soon f...

Re: Activism, Social Justice, Protests and you: The Political Discussion Containment Thread

Mission of showing yourself to be an unfunny jerk also accomplished. Seriously. This is on a spectrum with (not the same as) trashing things to show you can. It's really not a good look on you. You know what else isn't a good look for someone? Being an annoying, whiny, self-righteous social justice...

That's really odd....

I'll just download a couple of pics from the JC Penny website, and post them on here then:

New futon for my nerd cave (retro video game room)

I'm so excited! Two Sundays ago, my fiance and I ordered what appears to be the world's most comfy futon from JC Penny. It has arrived via UPS! Now we just have to assemble it when we get home. The reason we opted for a futon is because we have a 3 bedroom house, and the bedrooms are designated as f...

Re: Activism, Social Justice, Protests and you: The Political Discussion Containment Thread

Before I go on, a disclaimer: This is not a thread for talking about how much people organizing to defend their basic humanity upsets you. Or how inappropriate you think it is that people are angry and marching. Or how offended you are when the oppressed complain about being oppressed. Or about how...

I actually didn't know there was a Facebook page. Lol. It seems that an IG would be a bit pointless. If I do decide to create it, I'll let you guys know.

Re: Lunarthreads app and/or Official Lunar-Net Instagram page

I completely understand G1. I also work a 40+ hour a week job, have a fiance, and have a wedding to finish planning in the next two months. Something like this would definitely require a ton of time and dedication. Not to mention a Lunarthreads app would require tech skill that not everyone has. I b...

Re: Last Anime?

I know this one is an American animated show, but it's done in an "anime style"....so does RWBY count? If not. I suppose the last true anime I watched was "The Heroic Legend of Arslan".

Input lag with an EverDrive?

Hey guys, As I've mentioned in a couple of other posts, I have a retro video game room in mine and my fiance's house that I refer to as my "nerd cave". Lol. Anyway, I watched some videos that talked about the various EverDrive flash carts for different systems, and I became fascinated. For...

Re: Women's March on Washington.

I'm done with this conversation. I shouldn't have even participated in a conversation predominately dominated by liberals in the first place. I have very valid points, and I believe I showed a great deal of objectivity by expressing critique from both sides. Yet, the liberals on this thread are nitp...

Re: Women's March on Washington.

I’m in agreement with AlexHiro4: there is nothing condescending about calling women “ladies.” By that reasoning “ladies and gentlemen”, “Galadriel, Lady of Lorien” etc are condescending, which they are not. I’m a firm believer in gender equality, but obsessive political correctness doesn’t solve in...

Re: Women's March on Washington.

If you don't want to come across as dismissive, it's best to avoid referring to women as "ladies." Imperial Knight, Am I really reading this correctly? When did we become a society that views the words "lady" or "ladies" in a dismissive or condescending manner? I'm sor...

Re: Women's March on Washington.

Or to put it another way, you were using your Devil's advocate opinion as a means of doing harm. Or don't you think dismissive statements like "Ladies, Trump is not going to take away your rights and put you at a less than human status." and "a lot of the women in these protests are ...

Lunarthreads app and/or Official Lunar-Net Instagram page

Guys, I basically get on here to talk to you guys on slow days at work. I very rarely get on my laptop at home, so most of my internet time is spent using my phone. I think it would be awesome if we had a Lunarthreads app. I realize that I can absolutely use my browser on my device to access this pa...

Re: Back again guys!

Bottom line: If the game is going to take more effort to make its graphics, the story and music should improve that much too. If FF6 is already the best they could make story wise and musically, then the new graphically expensive game should at least live up to that, and not be so severely inferior...

Re: Women's March on Washington.

Sonic# 1) I am quite aware of the appearance of contradiction in wishing that political posts be banned and then offering my own. Basically, I was trying to show how both sides are acting very poorly during this early time of Trump's presidency, and how continuing to argue and insult one another onl...

Re: Women's March on Washington.

I think political discussions should be banned from the lunarthreads. I'm so sick of seeing all this arguing and hatred from BOTH sides. I've been unfollowing a lot of my friends on Facebook recently because of this because I hate seeing 90% of my feed covered up with this mess. Look, a lot of the w...

Re: Back again guys!

Yeah....I've never heard of Atelier. That's annoying that they have 17 installments, and we basically have 2 for Lunar. Well, we do have Lunar DS, but that game kinda sucked. Lol. Also, I agree with you about games in a series that are different enough that they could be under a different name. Alth...

Re: Back again guys!

Welcome back! 6 to 7 years ago? Lunar on PSP was the hottest thing back in the day :D This community has a strange persistency, in that people vanish for months or years, then show up again, but the community itself goes on. Lol, I second this. I come here a few times a month, sadly we aren't given...
