Is this a thing? I haven't seen anything like this recently.

Re: Merry Christmas & Happy Birthday

With the site now being 18, however, I have many plans about taking it out for a date and not calling it's parents when we're out past curfew.

Thanks. I can't remember the last time I've been homeless four times in the same week, but it certainly was an experience.

Re: The Great Flood

After months of loafing, I've finally been able to get things back on track here. This means I'm back online. Hopefully for a while now. It's been a very rough few months with little help outside of friends who were able to loan me enough to get somewhere.

The Great Flood

At the time of writing this entry I am currently on the search for a new apartment as well as a new job. Both seemed to get washed away in the flood that occurred here in South Carolina. The job shouldn't be a problem, in fact I have something lined up, but the apartment is an issue. It will also ma...

Re: Last game to give you an emotional reaction?

Well, I just saw a game that got me emotional. I haven't even played it and I began crying with joy. Allow me to set the scene for you. A younger me, with no worries in the world is moving among the shelves of my local Blockbuster when I come across a curious game. The game had upon it a skull surro...

Re: Last game to give you an emotional reaction?

Life is Strange has certainly hit myself and my friend right in the feel-zone. Beyond that, the last game to do anything to me emotionally was Spec-Ops: The Line, but that's tied to me having been in the service and understanding to an extent the stress of combat.

Re: Any big events anyone is going to?

My friend and I are going to hopefully be doing panels at a local convention at the end of October while bumming around the arcade and trying to advertise our stream for more local support every chance we get.

I was talking about Blockbuster video stores. They were like Hollywood video if you had those instead.

Re: Life is Strange

Absolutely agreed. Though it's one reason I try to ignore the scheduled release dates until it's actually out. If I don't know it's delayed, then the anticipation doesn't get to me as much. (And especially after the end of the last episode...) KF I envy that. I have to watch out for it since we try...

Re: 20 years ago today.

Ah, these were the halcyon days that I recall so fondly of my youth when a local Blockbuster with it's blue sign standing tall and proud on the winds would be a beacon for games such as this. It only took one play through to try and convince myself this was the game for me, but alas, it fell into my...

I'm okay with waiting, but I just hope there aren't any delays with it coming out.

Stream?! Is it a twitch stream?? I'd love to follow along. There's a thread in General Gaming titled "Pure Unadulterated Shameless Advertising" where I post events and links. Feel free to follow! More on topic. I have a bad feeling we're not going to see Episode 5 until much later than th...

Re: What Are You Currently Playing?

I've been playing a lot of Marvel vs Capcom Origins on Fightcade in preparation to a 24 hour stream I'll be doing in the next month or so. It's going to be a week spent on each game trying to improve my skills as best I can.

Re: Life is Strange

I'm going to speak in spoiler code as well, because this deserves a reply. No lie, we totally called the Jefferson thing on our stream since the first game. Granted, we did some flip flopping, but after the second episode, we were dead set on Jefferson. He was always too nice, too shifty, too...some...

Re: Pure Unadulterated Shameless Advertising

Hey gang, I haven't been able to post this here yet unfortunately, but I'm doing a 12-hour charity stream in which I'll be playing Metal Gear Solid and possibly one other game should MGS take less time than I think. I have a donation page set up with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, a...

Re: What Are You Currently Playing?

Can't blame you there. As I'm going through I'm thinking wow, this game really is as awesome as I remember. And that's on a New Game + where half the fun (finding new equipment and learning new techs) is obsolete or impossible. Drat, I know I had some other comment I thought of last night, but I've...
