I'm about 45 hours into Suikoden V at the moment, though I bought it the day it was released (been insanely busy) So far, I can say that there are things that I like and things that I don't like. The graphics, backgrounds and music are beautiful. Many of the characters are well done, though I haven'...

Anime North

Anyone planning on heading to Anime North this year?

Although it's rather far for me (being in the Southern US) I go because it's a decent con with a large number of folks. That, and I can get my husband to go so he can get his yearly fix of Canadian beer. ^^;;

And...this is a really old song but hey, I'm listening to it at the moment. "Charlie on the MTA" by the Kingston Trio Well, let me tell you of the story of a man named Charlie on a tragic and fateful day. He put ten cents in his pocket, kissed his wife and family, went to ride on the M.T.A. Chorus: ...

I wouldn't trust it. First of all, why are they paying their employees in eBay goods? Also, a respectable company would have a better command of English and basic grammar. Perhaps I'm too suspicious but I've been ripped off eBay before...and there is no recourse except small claims court--if you can...

I was a rare case: there were 64 openings for ITE teachers in SC the year I graduated and I was the only one who was graduating certified. Needless to say, I had my pick of spots--and job queries from numerous states. Why I stayed in SC...well, only because of my husband. That said, my husband was o...

Hmmm...the concept of a Lunar movie is interesting but I believe it would work best as an animated film. Wait. Let me elaborate on that...an old school, hand-drawn animated film created by some folks like Don Bluth who can do dark animation. (Disney's Sleeping Beauty, The Secret of NIMH, for example...

My all time favorite singer is Jimmy Buffett.

I started listening to him when I was five...which means I've been his fan for 23 years. XD

Lunar brought me back to video games. I had not played them since the original Zelda was released (yes, yes, I know...I'm old) but Lunar rekindled my love for gaming...and my love for writing fanfiction.

I'm looking forward to Suikoden V even though I was rather disappointed in IV. I also need to finish playing Tactics, but with my husband in NOLA working the past few months...eh...it's just not the same playing Suikoden games without him around. ^^;;

Video Games and ADD

I recently read an article about how video games are being used to treat ADD and thought I'd share for discussion.

Kizyr already did the grammar fixes for you, but also be aware of debt collector scams and the laws governing the legit ones...

According to consumer advocate Clark Howard, they CANNOT call you again once you ask them not to in writing.

Welcome back, K'arthur, and glad to see you around again. I think I offered you some feedback on your story which I typically enough never got around to typing up, so I'll probably have to start at the beginning again. I did very much enjoy your original characters, though as always I had a hard ti...

Heh, actually I am, though my writing time has been almost completely nixed. The next few chapters are outlined and some even have scenes written for them...but I also feel that I should go back and clean up the earlier chapters. There are many grammatical errors and some things just seem rather rep...
