Re: What Are You Currently Playing?

V and VII are tied for best in my eyes. They're both fantastic RPGs. Incidentally, your Ecco the Dolphin avatar rocks. I'm still playing SoulSilver and SMT Strange Journey off and on. Thanks! I have an obsession with the ocean and its denizens, love Atlantis, and then add some of the best music I'v...

Re: What Are You Currently Playing?

Right now I'm working my way through Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride. The fourth held a lot of nostalgia from NES days, and I've heard that this one is even better, so we'll see. I'm liking the monster recruits and storyline so far.

Yes, fibro does have many buddies that it likes to invite in. (One of my 'guardian angel' customers at work has sixteen other disorders with it.) If the Lyrica makes her nervous, there are other options. Some folk take Cymbalta, a new med called Savella was just approved this past year, but I like t...

Re: Song of the moment

Cool idea for a thread. Loreena McKennitt is my favorite artist and played most days, but right now my obsession is with David Arkenstone's 'Atlantis' album, especially the beautiful 'Fire and Water' track. I'd love to choreograph a dance to it one day, maybe with different costumes for the fast 'Fi...

Re: Free Health Care for everyone!

Really? Wow, small world. The pain is only one of a ton of symptoms, but I think mine is lighter compared to most. (Think of having a stalker armed with acid, a baseball bat, and a needle, and every so often letting you have it with one or more out of nowhere. Also being tired pretty much all the ti...

We're also looking for people to help us out in return for a free ticket, or those interested in leading discussion panels or becoming vendors. Questions or suggestions are more than welcome. :)

Re: Free Health Care for everyone!

The regulation in the bill is a great start to leveling the playing field. The only thing that'll take effect in the near future is the prohibition on excluding children from coverage for pre-existing condition. The same regulation will be applied for adults in a few years--however, I think insuran...

Re: Free Health Care for everyone!

Hmmm, does that mean discounts on healthy things like tea or fitness classes or massages? If memory serves, I believe that the entire healthcare bill was a good 1000 pages. Any idea is going to have its good and bad points, and naturally those involved will want to use their piece of info to cast on...

Re: Why do the remakes keep getting easier?

Touche on the Vane trial cave, but there was the attempt to make up for it by adding the 'mountain trails' by places such as Nanza and Tamur. (And the same technique in EBC.) They probably figured that we needed a few leveling up hotspots. One more example- FF Origins compared to the original Final ...

Oh, those little sweeties are so adorable! Will you be taking two of them? Right now, I just have my beautifully sweet and strong-minded cockatiel, Destiny. (No, not named after the dragonship, but my cousin used the name in FFVII.) She actually picked me out instead of vice versa. My mom and I went...

Re: Im kind of sick of people saying the first lunar was better

Eternal Blue Complete is my favorite, and most people I've talked to have disagreed. But, that's not so unusual. :P Although I love all the characters, it's the Ronfar/Mauri/Leo storyline that really grabbed me. (As my fanfics on the Shrine will prove. 8-) ) The tragic past, the tearful parting, how...

Re: So, how did everyone discover Lunar?

My cousin was the one who introduced it to my brothers and me. (As with most other games. 8-) ) He had a Sega CD and I remember when we were watching him play it the first time through, and trying to figure out where the Grindery was. (We missed the clue about the water.) He's the one who got me int...

Re: Anyone here have a tattoo?

That Turtles tattoo is incredible! I don't have any (yet 8-) but my brother has about seven or eight with a common theme of black and silver. He's a true Lunar fan in that he has Althena's sword modified into a dagger on his leg. As for the old thing, his philosophy is that people will be wrinkly wh...
