Would you rather I put in signifigant? Worth noting? If I had to hazard a guess, I'd say Katrina might drop sales by a few hundred units. And that's still a might. Katrina didn't kill all of the southeast or remove it from the country. In a month, most people there will be just as likely to buy or n...

I could make a sexist generalization and say that men always fall for that ruse...but I won't, as my fiancé refuses to compliment me if I'm putting myself down. Good thing you didn't, because that kind of sexist generalization gets overriden by the number one rule of men, that they can't understand...

Kiz: You mislead unintentionally. You mention one Chinese character pronounced different in Japanese and Chinese. ...I didn't mislead; you misunderstood. It was a side note that was very relevant to what I meant. I didn't misunderstand. the character for the name Wang in Chinese is pronounced Ou in...

Level off at $2.50? It's been beyond that where I am and many other places for quite some time before the hurricane, Mr. I Live In The Middle Of Nowhere Kansas Man Hurricane season typically drives up prices with fears of oil shocks. The reason this jump was greater is only because the damage was u...

Kiz: You mislead unintentionally. You mention one Chinese character pronounced different in Japanese and Chinese. But almost all of them are pronounced different; they're different languages This you already know, but they have the same characters because the Chinese Buddhist monks brought them over...

lucia fan: I think (like some other things you've mentioned), you are taking the "power of humanity" too literally. I don't think precisely what that "power" is was ever qualified in the games. And I always thought the implication was that the "power" humanity has is never giving up for something th...

I'm just wondering . . . are we getting any kind of foreign aid for this? Everyone made such an immense deal out of the U.S. not giving enough [or at least not quickly enough] during the tsunami, but I haven't heard anything about any other countries helping us out. That's only half true. The gover...

Incidentally, re Dyne I would mention that while he knows everything as Laike and evidently has some wisdom as Dragonmaster, we don't know whether he was that wise and knowledgeable before these events. True, I was granting him a bit extra there, mainly because (in SSSC, not TSS) he was part of Alt...

Well, let's say Ghaleon is indeed more than his normal vile self. I'm not so sure it would be revealed in a Four Heroes adventure what he is. If anything, I would guess Dyne would be the only "in the know" person. A big part of Dyne's character is that he seems to know practically everything, so if ...

I would say the opposite. Today has some humanitarian stuff, particularly in the mainstream. But there's a lot of bad stuff going on. Murder, rape, people shooting at police, police shooting at people, a lot of police quitting, military being refocused to stop looting instead of helping people, chem...

I also don't think Ghaleon put the seal there using Zophar's power, but rather his own. If he's the last "living" (kinda hard to call him living when he's more like a zombie) Mazoku/Vile, his magic would be extremely powerful compared to anyone else (including Lemina, who may be an Ausa, but still ...

You know it's funny, most people don't believe me when I tell them I've never been to a concert. I've been to a few symphonies, but that's it. And really, it has nothing to do with my taste in music. I love of a lot of different kinds of music... I've just never gone to one. o_O ::shrug:: I'd like ...

No. But with that reply it did seem that you thought I was indeed saying that the entertainment industry is to blame and directing that sarcasm at me, which was unnecessary, and brushing off the actual content of my post. First, when making a quip, there's no need for me to treat the subject matter...

Katrina was hardly overhyped. The reason it got so much attention was that it was supposed to go directly through New Orleans. Just because it changed path doesn't mean it was overhyped. Besides, the press if anything started to underhype it once it took a different path. There were a lot of stories...
