Re: Lucia cosplay

Well, I've been thinking. I mean, I'm not rich, but I'm doing alright. So one of two things can happen in this situation. 1. I get paid in a dare to do it. or 2. I get paid NOT to do it. There is the 3rd and less likely option. Options 1 and 2 never happens, so I go and it makes the media. I get fi...

Yes, too bad he got knocked out before he had chance to shine. i think i can still write him in. Isn't he still technically a candidated for the GOP nod? As for the question of RF signals, you can do a lot of interesting (and illegal) things if you have a strong enough transmitter. Hell, if you hav...

Re: Grindery

Yes, I know all that. But the idea that changing the medium of the legal backup copy one makes of software one owns invalidates the legality of that copy is news to me, which is why I ask for substantiation. My understanding is that ROM use is illegal only if one did not rip the ROM in question fro...

Re: A thought: Magic slowly dying in Lunar?

In Kei Shigema's "30 Questions about Lunar" he says that after Alex died, Nall travelled the world, always keeping Althena's Sword with him, but never found anyone worthy to give it to. That alone would prevent any new Dragonmasters, regardless of how much magic was in the world. Wasn't A...

Re: Grindery

Could you provide a reference or citation for that ruling, please? What case? I'd have to dig it up, and I hope you'll pardon me if I don't get to it immediately. I don't do legal research that often and am not particularly fond of logging into Westlaw for something that isn't that important (to me...

Re: A thought: Magic slowly dying in Lunar?

It's obvious magic is fading, when it's being said by Nall itself. When Neovane falls it's because the Black Dragon's power has weakened. Will magic fade in Lunar until the point that it ceases to exist? Is this an J-E difference? I haven't played the Japanese versions of either EB or the remake, b...

Re: Grindery

Even the 'legitimate' way to get screenshots (the one used by magazines like EGM or game websites like GameSpot or IGN) doesn't use a camera on a tripod. (Such a method would be murder on the equipment and on the people involved.) You'd use a TV tuner card for a computer to take the video input from...

Re: Roommates-Worth the Risk?!

I live with two other people (technically three, but one of them is never here... but she does pay rent). The group has had its ups and downs, but the apartment is functional. Roommates can be hit or miss. Interview a prospective roommate before you/they move in and if you don't think it's a fit loo...

Re: Hey

Pathfinder could be best described as an extension to Dungeons & Dragons 3.5. It's still basically the d20 system, but the core races are powered up a bit and the base classes are stronger than before. (E.g. Playing a Fighter is actually a reasonable idea now.) The system is still being beta tes...

Would I never be heard from again if I said he's not that attractive?

I was going to say... I don't recall the name from the film but I haven't watched it in a while.

And I haven't read that one, so nope, no connection at all.

Re: Lunar's most beatiful girl.

I think Lucia was probably the most beautiful of the female Lunar characters although I thought Mauri was pretty cute in the handful of times you see her hand-drawn. Luna's evil costume was rather sexy, but I didn't think Luna was all that attractive, honestly. Royce was pretty hot too, in the distu...

Re: Who'd be better? In your Opinion

Game Arts would do the best job. I imagine Ubisoft would be the company to license it for North American distribution if such a game was made since Working Designs is gone and Ubisoft did the last two Lunar games.

And... who are Xseed Games?

Hey

I've apparently decided to go by the handle 'White Shadow' at this forum. Whee. I'm a 21-year-old Lunar fan living in NY. I am a bureaucrat/sysop at the Lunar Wiki. I'm currently working on a Pathfinder RPG adaptation of the Lunar setting (if you're interested in collaborating on that, let me know!)...
