Re: New boards...

I'll say this about the brighter layout... it made me notice that I had two PMs in my inbox, one from DevNall that he sent months ago, and one from you G1, from over two years ago. Haha.

Bumping a really old topic, but I think it's worth mentioning that all the music is now up in MP3 format. Gapless track transition is now supported in LAME MP3, which is why I made the switch back...

So yeah. If you wanted the music in MP3, it's now up for grabs.

Well, actually there is... they're testing the western powers, seeing how far they can push and how we'll react.

Yeah, SSS's music is rendered on the fly like the PSX. When Kadokawa Shoten did the PSX port, they kind of half-assed the sound fonts. It's similar to what happened with the GameCube port of Skies of Arcadia... Overworks didn't bother porting the Cybersound MIDI Wavetable software to the GameCube, w...

Tempting... but I've already plunged down about that much money on more import music CDs. Given that I want to buy a new couch in February or so, I think I'll have to pass, heh...

Magic Knight Rayearth Outtakes!

Just my own little tribute to Working Designs, seeing how they're now gone.

It was fun while it lasted.

I'm not one to kick a man when they're down. I may not have seen eye to eye with Mr. Ireland, but it sucks that the company is gone, even if I haven't purchased their games since Magic Knight Rayearth. It's another blow to the little guys trying to make things work in a world full of giants, and les...

Yeah, for that reason, I'm going to pick up Symphonia first. I'm not sure when though, but the big question is, how's the story? And honestly, I know nothing about the Tales series. Are the stories connected between games? I hate jumping into a series halfway into a storyline. Tales of Symphonia is...

But given the choice between a great game he's already played with a few new features and a great game he's never played with an all-new experience, I'd say Tales of Symphonia is the better choice. For the record, Skies of Arcadia Legends is a mixture of new features and evidence of a rushed port. T...

Get Tales of Symphonia, G1. It gets my highest recommendation. Nintendo did an incredible localization job with the game, and the game is just a lot of fun, period. Pretty good old-school feel with the soundtrack, and the gameplay takes a hint from old-school as well with a bit (but not too much) of...

Full version of Winamp will play .ogg files and just about everything else around. Ogg Vorbis is an open source audio codec that is free for use by anyone and is actually used by some game developers. I use Ogg Vorbis over MP3 because there are some CDs where the audio does not stop from one track t...

Indeed, the second half was never in the game. I guess that's one thing the Saturn version lacked.

No problem. And on that note, there are segments where the PlayStation release had stuff cut out of the music. For instance, compare both consoles' version of Blessed City/Town (the music that plays in towns like Dalton). The music is basically comprised of three parts in the Saturn version, the fir...

Mirroring the music would be very awesome. If you get it up, let me know and I'll link away to it. And hello Alunissage. Definitely been a long time. The song names are a mixture of stuff that Working Designs used for the sound test in the PlayStation release, a few names from the original Lunar Ete...

Lunar 2 Eternal Blue Sega Saturn Gamerip

I started this project a long time ago... and finally finished it this evening. For those unaware, the PlayStation and Sega Saturn versions of the game's music sound a bit different. The PlayStation version's music is rendered on the fly like MIDI files for a PC while the Saturn version's music is s...
